And they are not long videos, they are just like a photo which doesn't even cover then whole screen, you can just ignore it.

Craddan, 27 Jan 2020It's very annoyingNah. If for example you get an A50 or any other competitor, then you get the exact same thing but on a smaller display which seems more high quality but overall you get a smaller display and poorer cameras, battery and performance.

Irhut, 28 Jan 2020Videos look really good to me. Netflix does not play in hd... moreBad WiFi or data speeds will cause streaming services to drop the resolution. If a YouTube video isn't looking nice, make sure it was actually uploaded in 1080p first, if so, make sure it's not setting the resolution automatically.

Basically every phone on here has some kind of negative comment or observation, it always seems like it's from the extreme sides as well, such as "never good enough" mindset (annoying tech divas), and "this phone is so slow and the camera sucks and blah blah blah" from the non tech minded types who don't go even a little bit out of their way to take care of their devices and keep them performing properly. So, people stuck in between have to sit here and read a barrage of whiny reviews and remarks from people who either can't be pleased, or are technologically inept. It's a conundrum. :/

Mary, 27 Jan 2020This or samsung A50This is for heavy gaming and make sure you are happy this the size and weight, moderate heating and ads everywhere.
A50 is more like a daily driver and have much better screen quality, better software/warranty/support.
It comes down to personal preference.

And no, at least I haven't found a setting in the settings to change the display's resolution.
About the font... I found something but I am not sure that those are fonts. Still, you could get up to 3 fonts I guess, I am not sure. But the default looks pretty good.

Mary, 27 Jan 2020This or samsung A50I would go for this one. A50 has a lower AnTuTu score. That means more poor gaming performance. It has 176k score. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro has 290k score. A50 has a 25mp camera not 64 and you can't record 4k UHD videos on the A50. A50 has a smaller display by 0.13 inches. You can get the A50 with 4 or 6 gb of ram and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro with 6 or 8 gb of ram. A50 has a 4000mah battery and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro has a 4500mah battery. A50 has a Super Amoled display but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro has an IPS HDR display.
Overall, my opinion at least, is that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro wins and that it is way better than the A50 and the other competitors.

Mithun, 27 Jan 2020Note 8pro best version indian or global version? The Indian version has a dedicated sd card slot and no nfc. So, 2 sims and one sd card and I am not sure if you can use 1 sim card and 2 sd cards but I don't think that you can do this.
The Global version has nfc and no dedicated sd card slot. You can only have 1 sd card and 1 sim or 2 sims.
Overall, they are the same, except what I mentioned earlier.

AGamer, 27 Jan 2020That's really bad...everyone is saying that even 1080p vide... moreNo mate. And please don't be stupid like everyone else is. What if it uses a MediaTek proccessor? It doesn't matter. It does it's job very very good. Don't judge it ONLY because it is MediaTek. This is way better than the other mid-rangers, even better than Samsung's Exynos and Quallcomm's Snapdragon.(judging by the price segment, don't compare it to a Kirin 985 or Snapdragon 855+). The videos are find, they are just a litttleeee bit more pixelated, you will get used to it. It doesn't look worse btw, it looks very nice and this is because of the PPI(pixels per inch) and because of the big display and the FHD+ resolution. It's like using HD quality on a tv. It looks pixelated as fuk but on a 5.5 inch phone it will look gorgeous. It's the same as the competitors it's just that you get a bigger display and a better phone overall for a lower price.
