I have just finished over 1 hour of pubg playing and my phone is fine. Maybe there are some faulty ones out there or maybe updates have solved the problem.

after updating it to miui 11. Playing games are also smooth although if you play for more than 1 to 2 hours and turn the graphics for too high, it does heat up quite a bit, but it was acceptable apart from thermal throttling.
