Szczebrzeszyn, 12 Sep 2019Keep in mind that Note 8 Pro has NFC which is important fea... moreTrue. I just think NFC in Pro doesn't mean 100% global because AFAIK this version's NFC can't be used globally (it must be usable for something in China or India) and there was no NFC Redmi global phone so far so they'd just keep that policy. On the other hand, so far there was no NFC in any Redmi so it may suggest that they plan global version (since NFC requested as you say). Either way, I'm just saying I wouldn't expect it (Pro yes, Note no) in the begining. It is possible, though. (considering source you mention too).

Hopefully at least they'll announce one global Redmi (it's rumored september but earlier they said to release some phone in India 2 months after China so IDK) and yes of course Poland means global version.

Simaris, 12 Sep 2019so, the opposite of the previous redmi note 7 series? So it seems.
No idea why Xiaomi does it that way, but - as an European - I'm not going to complain ;-)

I only wish they also made kind of Note 8 Pro Mini, with smaller screen (6,0-6,1") and dimensions similar to Samsung S10 or Huawei P30. Note 8 Pro specs-wise seems to be a great buy, but is not truly pocket-friendly device. And I'm used to keep my phones in my jeans' pocket and wouldn't like to change that habit ;-)

Szczebrzeszyn, 12 Sep 2019Rather opposite. Note 8 Pro seems to be global model. Not... moreso, the opposite of the previous redmi note 7 series?

D., 12 Sep 2019Pro global and non-Pro not after all? I'd guess vice versa ... moreKeep in mind that Note 8 Pro has NFC which is important feature for Western markets and pretty useless for China where AFAIK QR payments are the most popular (not sure about India).
According to recent Polish news, on 23.09 some new products will be presented for local market, with at least one member of Note family among them. IMHO it has to be Pro version. And there's no reason for Xiaomi to bring this model for Polish market only. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be global model.

New announcement 23. 9. might also be a global version of CC9. Mix 4 coming soon as well. We may see a few new phones/versions from Xiaomi in september.

Probably it'll be an official introduction od Note 8 Pro for this particular market. I believe it applies also for other markets in this part of the world. Opposite would be unreasonable.
Sales should start shortly after that.

docdolby22, 12 Sep 2019no it have not band 20You're probably wrong. According to certain sources there're EEA, Russian and Global ROMs for Note 8 Pro. It suggests, that Note 8 Pro will be offically available in Europe and so will have B20, as it's important band in this part of the world.

On the other hand there there're only China, "ordinary" Global and India ROM versions for Note 8 (non-Pro).

There will not be a lineageOS or others untill something changes and that is highly unlikely because this has been the case forever. All you can hope for is some random guy on xda glueing together pieces of various roms to get something working on this phone, and this is me being optimistic

tested this phone, to my surprise it doesn't heat that much for a Mediatek SoC, and playing mobile legends, pubg mobile, and nba 2K20 quite smooth on highest settings.

looks like mediatek is stepping up their game now.
