Looking into changing from Huawei this fall and I am interested in switching brands. I am not a tech person what so ever and certainly shop around on a budget. I work with a lad in Sales department that recommends the Xiaomi brand and said this new Redmi Note 8 Pro would be a upgrade from the Huawei P20 Lite. Can I get some feedback on this please...
Finding as upgrade once a year for less than €200 is the objective.

These phones are for people who go with written specifications and who know not about the cost cutting that goes on within. One obvious thing: Xiaomi uses the lowest quality screen possible on mobile phones - the technology behind it maybe the same IPS/LTPS but the output produced is vastly different with what Xiaomi uses and for example what Nokia uses in its low range/ mid range phones

But in term of performances Note 8 Pro is far more powerfull.
About GPU for exemple.
You must know Arm doubles the lanes of each Execution Unit on G76 (and strangely on G52 too) compare to G72.
Having a Mali G76mp4 is like having a G72mp8...and Galaxy A50 uses G72mp3 only
