I have the phone for nearly 7 months now and overall I'm happy with it. The performance is great for the price range, but there is occasional lag and app freezing. Nothing too bad though. The cameras are fine. Nothing mind blowing, but they do just fine. Battery life and charging speed are great.
If you are looking to buy this phone now, I would say do it only if u get it with a big discount. The phone has 60hz display, and it's already a year old. Many mid-range phones are now coming out with 90hz+ display, faster charging, better cameras. It will be a good idea to buy a more recent device, as the RN8 pro is a nice phone, but it's a bit old now.

Anonymous, 21 Jun 2020I think many of us here in india have still not rcvd the up... moreIf You mean by going in the right top corner and doing download manually then no, it shouldn't cause any problems. You can even do a factory reset after the update to be sure that everything is going to work properly. If you think about getting the file from Google and well... Flashing it... I can't guarantee anything, but it should be good. It's just that It may affect the future updates. Like you won't be able to get more updates when you do "Check for updates".

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2020What are you talking about?? To me it's big and heavy bu... moreThis phone is heavy on paper but in real life, I don't really feel a difference. You will get used to it and now for real, why is everyone complaining so much over 20-50 grams? I mean yeah that's a lot for a phone which normally was like 100-150 grams but still guys, it's 50 grams more, can you even say how much is that for your hand? You can lift over 1 KG and be ok but this is 30 grams or so..

Darkmind, 20 Jun 2020Does this phone heat more than 45 degrees at CPU and batter... moreIt would heat in any games I think? I mean depends on a lot of things but it doesn't gets hotter than 45-57 or so and well it doesn't gets that hot that you can't hold it in your hand. It gets a little bit more warmer than it should, but it doesn't ruin your experience. That's my opinion at least, and I play a lot of mobile games.

SILA, 20 Jun 2020Between this phone and oppo reno 2z which do you recommend??If you really need an AMOLED screen go for the Oppo but I wouldn't really recommend it because the only difference that abetter that the Xiaomi is the screen, btw the Xiaomi phone has a very good screen, even brighter than AMOLEDs, and well... The pop-up camera wouldn't resist to any harsh weather, for example raining. So the Xiaomi, besides that it's IP52, is better in any way, despites having an IPS LCD screen.

Darkmind, 20 Jun 2020Does this phone heat more than 45 degrees at CPU and batter... morePlaying with a heavily warm phone can be annoying and may sweat your hands a little but I don't know of a single case of failure due to heating with this phone or heating that will make you drop the phone.
Now if you want something colder and not too expensive you can get a phone based on kirin 810 (few games have issues with it) or if you are willing to pay more get something based on the dimensity 820 or snapdragon 855 for example.

[deleted post]What are you talking about??
To me it's big and heavy but then the 210g crowd came around and then the 220g and inching towards a 7" screen.. at this point this phone is starting to look small and light by comparison, manufacturers simply can't help themselves.. sick of this trend that never seem to stop.
