How much battery life are you all getting in single charge?
Mine is 11 hours SOT from 95% charge to 2%
2 day battery backup for normal users.

And snapdragon 720g is newer n more friendly to developers, in case u want to root n change the rom. That's my opinion.

i am very heavy game user, pubg...... i play around 4 hours continuously and it never over heats, just fps drops around 50-52 when enemy nearby

In the past I had a Samsung S9+ and iphone 8 plus. In terms of performance this Redmi Note 8 Pro is not far behind. Of course, it lacks some premium features S9+ had, but at 225EUR which I paid for it, is best phone in my opinion.
The A series from Samsung from this year is not worth it. Is just some incremental changes from the last year A series, but the price went up. That is why I bought this Xiaomi instead. In mid-range territory and around 250EUR, you can't find something better.
Even the Realme 6 Pro from this year (which has the same chipset), is more expensive. And has more heating problems, probably Realme didn't know how to handle the Mediatek chipset.

This phone is legit at this price point. I am an average user. No system heating, its gpu is even better than some high end smartphone in the market right now. Camera is great. Display quality is great. Tbh it is even better than their new note 9 series. I have been using this phone since last 5 months , never faced ant problem with it.

Totally nice phone. I have been using it for 6 months.
The unlucky one is I've got a dim flashlight. Rarely used but it's ok.
Nfc & Ir blaster are really what I need. I have been updated the system to Android 10 2 days ago and no longer have a battery drain issue. The performance is awesome. Great for mirroring to tv. Great battery life. The camera result is good. For gaming (ML) in 2 hours (spend 25% battery), just warm and no overheating issue.
9/10.
