I have use this phone a few day. I have notified two major problem. one is heating problem.. batery drain so fast. two, internet coverage is poor, while others phone model like Vivo is still got best coverage in same place.

I used some Isopropilic alcohol in a cotton swab, BUT AWARE OF LEAVING COTTON INSIDE.

I have been using this phone for 5months trust me the battery is a beast, the camera top notch performance, the display is nice if not perfect and the built quality is gorgeous.

Not sure if it has DOLBY ATMOS enabled like Motorola and Samsung. Also not AMOLED. These are the features I would like to have in a phone. Otherwise, this is a great smartphone for the price range. I'm impressed with the chipset used which is pretty good.

I mean, what do you expect, buy a 230EUR phone and have Pixel 3 camera quality?
For what this phone cost (around 230EUR in Europe), I think it has a decent camera set.
The only thing bad in Xiaomi phones, is their MIUI. It has too much bloatware (majority of whom can't be uninstalled, not even disabled). The advertisements are not a problem, at least not in the global version. Another problem could be their poor software update strategy (if you care about this thing anyway). I don't.
In all the other areas this phone is very good, for the price paid.

No updates in Czech Republic either. The security patch on my Redmi Note 8 Pro is November 2019. Not very good if you value this kind of things.
Myself don't care about this things, that is why I bought a Xiaomi (in the past I had high end phones, including S9+ and iphone 8 plus).
Other than that the phone is a little beast, good display, good battery and very good performance in gaming (no issues with heating, even after couple of hours of gaming).
P.S. I have the global version.

Xiaomi still has not fixed the problem with the broken external microphone. Redmi Note 8 pro does not work with external microphones connected to the minijack. This is definitely a software bug. Shame on you Xiaomi.

Awesome Camera Battery Backup Just Amazing.......
Heating Issue low.. but Better than samsung Note 9 ... Trust me.... Great Xiomi Redmi

I found Xiaomi really ignores customers. I'm not impressed with the generic user manual. So, when I check the specs of this phone with DevCheck I see that the camera is only 16 MP with 5 MP selfie. The same is seen in Open Camera. So far I cannot find any setting to enable or at least verify that this phone really has 64 MP with 4K and a 20 MP selfie. Could anyone point me the way to verify this? The long-term review here states that these resolutions can be enabled, but how? Is Xiaomi cheating on the specs? Could the be sending inferior specs to markets where they think they can get away with it? I'm in the Philippines. I'm not happy the almost totally lack of customer support that I have so far seen from Xiaomi and I want to return this, the this apparent cheating on specs needs to be clearly established. Thank you for any help.
