JackSally, 09 Apr 2020Which is the better phone and better deal between the Xiaom... moreNote 8 pro is best for gaming but is heavy, larger and heats, display is bad, viewing angles are bad. Has ADS. MIUI skin is not a favorite. Has NFC.

A50, this one is slower so not for heavy gamers, lighter and OS security is better, no ads, superb amoled display. it has a plastic back which is not easily crackable.

So there you go, both are good but different pick the one that fits your usage best, since I don't do heavy gaming, for a comfortable daily driver with better data safety I would pick A50.

JackSally, 09 Apr 2020Which is the better phone and better deal between the Xiaom... moreTrust me, besides the SAMOLED screen on the A50, that phone is way worse than the RN8P. And bye the RN8P got a very good IPS LCD panel too!

Kemizee, 10 Apr 2020I have used both phones and can give you an honest opinion.... moreI second your thought.

Samsung never made a genuinely good budget phone. With some of the best deceptive marketing malpractices Samsung dopes some well known youtubers and reviewers and offer them money, gifts in return of raving reviews of their mediocre products. Currently one such youtuber in our country made the confession.

Their flagships comes with low quality Exynos in India that are 20% down in CPU and GPU performance, lower quality image processing and more power consumption than Snapdragon counterparts sold elsewhere. And Samsung charges the same price of their Exynos and Snapdragon variants.

I recently had the experience of using a mid-range device from Samsung, the M31. Why many reviewers claim it is a good budget device, sadly I don't understand. Maybe they get paid for such reviews. In M31 I found roadside quality phone plastic body, phone creaks under slight bending force, mediocre camera, laggy Exynos SoC, crappy graphics and very color inaccurate Amoled dim display whose auto brightness does not work.

The Realme and Xiaomi phones are way better at same price and makes much better phones.

JackSally, 09 Apr 2020Which is the better phone and better deal between the Xiaom... moreIn all departments (performance, battery life, camera, build quality) Redmi Note 8 Pro is better. Only amoled screen (if you prefer it over LCD) is better in A50.

JackSally, 09 Apr 2020Which is the better phone and better deal between the Xiaom... moreI have used both phones and can give you an honest opinion. The Samsung A50 is a good phone but did heat up a lot more. My screen also went blank after four months. They did replace it for me though via warranty but then I still felt uneasy with that happening. The battery too was really poor. The only advantage it has over the RN8 Pro is the Amoled screen and maybe the OneUI(depending on your taste).

The RN8 Pro on the other hand has a better Ram management, battery and generally smoother feel to it.

I wouldn't recommend non-flagship Samsung devices. Go for the RN8 Pro and you won't regret it.

I just checked this phone out in a store in Colombia and I could not find the "Second Space" setting on the Note 8 or Note 8 pro... can anyone confirm why this is?

I was about to purchase the phone but that setting is important... any insight?

I wouldn't really care tbh. But in my country, I would've paid a lot more money than I paid for my RN8P and I would have had to wait a year and a bit to get it. So the RN8P is just a better choice.

Sh@dow, 08 Apr 2020Hi guzs. What do you recomend Samsung Galaxy A71 or Xiaomi ... moreA71 is better but it's not that way greater to worth that much of extra cash. If you don't care about that extra cash go for the A71. If you do, go for the RN8P, it's still a very good phone. If you would like a more detailed "review" / pros and cons please reply to this message.
