The phone is great, same as its sibling Note 8, but lacks of notification led. I believe it has better camera than regular global Note 8.

Russy, 26 Apr 2021Good phone..on miui 11..miui 12 destroys battery life..it doesnt affect battery. if you have problems, then do full factory reset, and you be ok.

The Geekbench info isn't really accurate. I am still using my Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T, and from the stats here, it says it is around at the five thousands. Even though i downloaded some games and probably some files, the Geekbench Version 5, after I went through a long process, goes to only around 1282 Multi-core score. Although it works just fine, I hope that the website could lower the Geekbench stats.

You know why they took it out of mos... moreWell its a little deeper than that.. if you don't have led notification, you need to open your phone and probably one of the social media apps.. That means plain and simple more screen time on them(social media) thus more money.

Madk9, 19 Aug 2020Agree! I have it and I HATE IT!!! It was a gift from my wif... moreI also bought it last year, still suffering. I will sell it next week and free myself from all note 8t misery.
Last year miui was extremely bad, new updates made it better.
But still GPS sucks, really bad in hand, hurts my hands, lags a lot, short battery,
If you buy it for 80€ it is a good phone.
For more than that it is crap

I remember this phone had a rocky start due to not showing notifications for incoming texts to various apps. Luckily they listened to complaints and quickly fixed it, improved other things and I'm very happy with this phone. As well as build quality is good (having previously owned HTC phone that wasn't dust-proof, I now properly appreciate dust-proof phones).

This phone is crazy. It just keeps getting better and better. Since the Miui 12 update, the interface is a lot smoother, everything is snappier and the sound from the headphone jack has improved. I swear I'm getting high fidelity sound out of the headphone jack now because there really isn't much difference in the sound from the headphone jack of the phone and the hi-res certified Bluetooth dac/amp I'm using. The only difference is the lack of power out of the headphone jack to drive high ohm headphones.

I've just received a new update that gave Jan 2021 security update and hopefully fixed the high power draw from the previous update.
