Really dissatisfying. On one hand, I could agree on not having the notification light to have a more stress-free environment and less distraction, but on the other hands... still sucks.

Does anyone know the memory technology of this phone? UFS or EMMC? Xiaomi customer service said that redmi note 8 has UFS 2.1, when I made an inquiry about the matter.

And I mean that, if it's just me who can't see blinking nor the option to turn it on, I'll be extremely happy lo learn how to manage this.
So far I'm thinking that it is you who got the model of your phone wrong - maybe you're the proud owner of 8 Pro which has n.LED
