Same for head set/ ear buds wired or wireless...
You probably have a software/ ROM issue.
Perform a factory reset, if it persists your device might be faulty.

Worst phone
First i got headphone connect issue
Then it has WhatsApp issue it is unable to download some type of images on whatsapp and now its earphone not working i texted in mi community they said we are facing earphone issue and we have reported developer, no remedy for the person who has paid and bought handset

Dont buy note 9 pro. It has issues.first i was facing issue It cannot download images on whatsapp it shows undownloaded on chat and u get multiple copies in gallery, now another after a month of use its earpiece doesn't work at all during call, call works fine on speaker but no sound of other party on earphone.

My wife's samsung smartphone always has stable LTE connection for mobile data while mine is just 3G for most of the time. This was also the case of my previous xiaomi redmi note 5 phone. Xiaomi got some issues with signal LTE bands in my country.

It's funny that it's not only the Indians but also my countrymen(Filipinos) are confusing this with the 9S. They don't believe it cause the only difference is the 64MP Camera and 30W Super Fast Charging. They keep insisting that they're the same phone and should flash a MIUI12 9S ROM to this phone. They laugh when I say there is no Global and Euro update yet except for Russian, Turkish & Indonesian. The update tracker does say it's on indefinitely postponed while the 9S is globally released.

HDMI-out question
Sorry for asking again, but it does bother me:
i am seriously thinking about buying the (global) Redmi Note 9 PRO (the one with the 64MP camera) and on paper all specs are good and e.g. i personally need also the IR port.
Important for me (hotel room / holiday etc.) - is there any way to connect the fon with HDMI cable to any televison?
YES i know officially there is no MHL / SlimPort support so standard USB-C --> HDMI hubs will most-likely not work.
There is however so much confusion in the internet.
Aside from google chromecast solutions (which require internet connection) -
-- my quiestion: DID ANYONE SUCCEED connecting the redmi note 9 pro with a hdmi cable to a TV or projector? Is there any adapter box that works?

All the redmi phones are like this. If you want a phone with stronger signal for calls and text messaging get samsung..

Guys, I need a complete honest opinion about this phone cuz when reading the specs I find it's great compared to the price ( in Lebanon available from $200 to $220) but I want advice from those who are using it on a daily basis.

Been using this device for the past 3-4 months, although i don't watch movies on my phones unless mb youtube, therefore I can't say anything regarding netflix video quality, although on my device it's says L3.
As for dust in camera lens alot of folks complain about it, although am not borthered with this issues because i bought a screen guard for the camera lens to prevent it from situation such as dust and others.
Occasionally i see dust on mine around the camera flash position, i just wipe it clean with screen cleaner.
Regarding the slow charging with a different cable, i guess that's normal because most of these OEM usually implement some kind of builtin technology regarding using the device original cable to obtain fast charge.
I have a oneplus 5 device, if i use a different type c cable or charger other than the original unit, i do not get the benefit of dash charging unless i only use the original charger/cable.

There is an adb MIUI debloater tool, u can Google it online, it's very useful for debloating the device by removing all sort of irrelevant apps on the device which gives better performance and more ram.

Zebi, 30 Oct 2020Though im redmi phones user, i came to conclusion that all ... moreDon't know if u have a faulty unit or mb network carrier issue based on yr location, I'm also using this device and i can confirmed i don't have network reception issue as mentioned.
Even with airplane mode activated, i still received calls with clear quality using VOWIFI services by the device.
