I updated mine to miu13 by myself via MiFlasher with fastboot ROM. It is no use to expect from the Chinese to do coding properly. Also, I had dust under camera until I fixed it myself by re-gluing camera glass.
I am considering Motorola to be my next phone. I have had three Redmis and all had issues with mediocre quality. I have had enough time to see how Chinese are poorly treating customers when factory manufacturing faults arise, and not the least, silly bugs in software that they cant fix.

fou, 15 Dec 2022in my case i have the version 12.5.8.0 of miui, and RJZEUXM... moreSome friends tried this it worked for them.
Download both your version 12.5.8..and the MIUI 13, for your region.
Firstly update you're version, than after reboot rename the MIUI 13 to your version in file manager and update again
It should work. All using built in updater.
Lastly than perform a factory reset...
Voila.
Good luck!
PS: I got the OTA update. It's given new life to RN9 Pro Global. It's buttery smooth...

Movalash, 15 Nov 2022Camera improved? What were the camera improvements? No camera improvements...
Phones cameras at this price or any price range dont get better overtime, its a myth...
Buy a phone for how good it is at release day because it will only get worst with update

More advanced versions of Miui or android put more heavy load on the smartphone so it will get slower overtime, less ram available, etc.

Kostasliat, 22 Nov 2022I don't know why but the EU variant in my country has ... moreAccording to offical data from Xiaomi itself on release day and recent confimation by severall insiders in india it will not get android 12 at all,
When you buy a phone you need to check how many years it will actually get, from Xiaomi itself
So you buy a 200$ device and expect to get that much? 😅😉

send updates, 26 Oct 2022My redmi note 9 pro Global does not update no matter what I... moreIm having the same problem and its quite unfortunate that Xiaomi chose to ignore this problem todate.Sees It affects only users of the main Global version of RN9pro with miui code QJZMIXM while other regional variants of this device arent affected. I dont see why we have to resort to riskier options because of this....its not fair

Bay, 30 Nov 2022Sorry to break it to you... But the luck wasn't on you... moreIt's like the Russian Roulette with Xiaomi, there's a big part of others who had the same issues as I did with their phones in general, so you just got lucky in my opinion.

Every issue you mentioned cannot be applied to my device as it works flawlessly for 2.5 years to the point where I don't want to upgrade until s23 is out.

Simple solution for those who haven't received the MIUI 13 Android 12 OTA update for RN9 Pro Global.
Download the recovery update from official website.
Update using the built-in updater.
Additionally none needs to unlock bootloader.
Be careful about the region.. while downloading it.
I'd recommend performing a factory reset after updating.
I really adore the phone after it, no issues.
I have the Nov' Android security update running.
Good luck!!

I got this phone two years ago and because of how shitty MIUI is it feels like I've had it for 4+ years because:
1. Battery life is meh ever since I got it (worse after MIUI 12.5.8)
2. It's laggy af despite having 6GB RAM. Everything lags, even the camera app.
3. Fast charging hasn't worked since the first two months. Yes, I changed a few cables when the original one broke.
Nothing.
This phone used to charge in an hour for me, from 30-40% to 100%.
4. Really shitty signal issues, especially using two SIMs like in my case.
5. Used to have a booting problem in the first year, everytime I'd restart it, it would just get stuck.
6. I'm stuck on Android 11, MIUI 12.5.8 and haven't received security updates since March this year.
MIUI is the worst, too bad that Xiaomi phones actually have
decent specs.
