Sorry to hear that.
Perhaps you can try installing a version of Google Camera (GCam). That should work.
You can find various GCam versions online, just google it, many are developed specifically for the Redmi Note 9S.

Try clearing the camera app cache and data in Settings/Apps/Manage apps/Camera/Clear data, and then launch it again.

once i open the camera app the phone freezes and has to be reset. i just bought the phone 3 days ago. seems to be a general software issue. eho else faces this and any options on solving it? 6gb 128 gb model

Should consider poco x3. Better value money. Although, poco x3 thicker and 6 g more heavier than rn9s. Same screen size.

badar, 06 Sep 2020The phone camera is really pathetic which is a deal breaker... moreI'm used this 4n over a month, I facing the same issue. software not optimized and there haven't some features like wifi 'WPS connect' and some other .4n does not have any performance issue working so good( also display quality is very good, battery life is not bad). I faced another issue camera focus not optimized, but very good camera setup. basically my issue is software not have many features and must be optimized. I think the next update may fix these issues.

1. Phone has ... moreI am also from Pakistan and been using this phone from more than a month now and I am not facing any issue you have mentioned here in fact this is the best phone under its price range.
1. Having enough signals even in low signal areas like basement and all.
2. Camera lens dust is well protected and dust cannot go in there, at least I am not facing this issue.
3. No frequent automatic touches till this day.
4. Battery is as good as it mentioned giving me almost 2 days on normal use.
You may have got the faulty piece brother because I'll definitely recommend this to everyone out here looking for premier phone in budget price segment.
