Is the age of the enthusiast tablet finally here? It took android tablet companies how long now to acutally make a passable tablet.... Aside from the Lenovo Legion Y700 nearly everything else has been trash, but we finally have a device w/ some decent efficiency battery life, & IO.... Its insane how long it too companies to make something like this ....

The word "rebrand" itself is self-explanatory, and indicates it's the same product with a different name for a different market/target audience.

Of course i can compare, because for a lot of proposes there is overlapping.
Tablets also generally have much better screens than laptops so i certainly prefer to read work related stuff in my 200 euro 450 nits tablet than in my 500 euro work 250 nits laptop. I also like the direct interactivity of clicking on screen than indirect of using a mouse.
A laptop can have much more power than a tablet but not all people needs that power.
Other factors like comfort in use matter too, battery, weight, just taking from the bag and start working matter.

Like what I've said earlier, I only use my laptop for gaming since non of my Steam games have emulators equivalents or Android ports.
Even ADB for android devices can be done using Termux so there's no need to open a laptop and do that using CMD or Powershell.
It may not have all the softwares Windows and MACS have but it'll definitely fullfil the use case of majority of the people.

Even adb can now be done on android devices themselves using Termux. If it wasn't for Steam, I wouldn't be using my laptop. Tablets are also comfier to read mangas/ebooks than tablets. Lots of people only have smartphones and tablets as computing devices. These have already eaten into desktop and laptop market. Higher chances of seeing homes with Android/ios only gadgets. Sometimes there are homes with barely used desktops and laptops. Things aren't the same as they were a decade ago.

Well, now there's another somewhat decent tablet, was thinking hard whether to buy Samsung Tab A9+, but this pad pro has no SIM slot, crap, wanted something that is kept in store to show some stuff since spinning monitor is kinda tedious lol but also receive call from customer since the number is different sim number, don't want to mix my personal phone with work either, probably better to have two phone/tablet instead huh

You cant even compare tablet hardware to laptop hardware as it makes no sense.

Even budget laptops are more powerful then flagship tablets so you can't really compare them in any way.

Your brain works the way that you think that bus should also have wings cause you know planes have wings and fly so bus should also have wings and fly

pl2rts, 04 May 2024We see these keyboards with tablets advertised mostly only ... moreYou still don't get it, we want them on budget tablets because budget laptops have them, simple as. You've been conditioned to think only flagships should have these features.

Complaning that tablets are not laptops because they only have 1 USB-C port compared to the many ports a laptop has is ignorancy, as there are USB hubs to turn that single tablet port into a fully-fledged laptop experience, and guess what, every smartphone/tablet coming up these days has OTG, a feature not exclusive to flapships anymore, a necessity in the modern days, proving that flagship features can be made a standard for everyone, just like a simple display port can.

Realme Pad X is a budget tablet and that one has a keyboard accesory to it, so that argument about being mostly exclusive to flagship tablets is simply a false narrative you're trying to build.

There is nothing wrong with people demanding a display port feature, on a tablet that has a "Pro" name on it, simple as.

Anonymous, 04 May 2024How can I say it? Because I can and will and it's the ... moreWe see these keyboards with tablets advertised mostly only in flagship price range.
As keyboard is accessory for tablets that mean that you need to buy one as it is not in the tablet price and not coming with the tablet and well these keyboards are only bluetooth connected as they dont have wire connect to tablet.

Reality is that you dont really understand why tablets are made and what is the use for them.

Comparing tablet to a laptop is same like comparing bus to a airplane
Laptops have all types of ports to connect all types of accessories with wire.

There are options for you with the display port tablets out there that mostly are expensive top end flagships. But well you want them on budget and middle class and deny the reality on your own

pl2rts, 28 Apr 2024How can you say even laptops have ways to connect to screen... moreHow can I say it? Because I can and will and it's the truth? Thats how for sure...

Tablets are always trying to brand themselves as laptops, stop kidding yourself, there's a reason why one of their accessories is a keyboard you can attach to it and use it on a desk, or how it has mouse support, or how everything connects to the internet now so you can have your files on the cloud from your computer to your tablet in no time.

Do not try to deny reality because it is what it is, if people want Display Port on their Tablets because there are Laptops with bigger screens that have it as a STANDARD, then it is not farfetched to wish a device with a smaller screen should get one. This was the point being discussed in the first place so stop trying to deviate from it.
