Coffeemilotea, 28 Jul 2016The wifi spec is a bit disappointing/let down when compare ... moreand also to add on, the price is slightly more expensive which is almost touching the price of similarly spec model from competitors. It loses the upper hand in term of price which is Mi strongest selling point. Give it another few more years, if this is the trend then probably Mi will be no different than the others. Still, I like everything about Mi phone and the price is what drive me to buy its phone. May change if there are more options. So, Mi please watch out.

The wifi spec is a bit disappointing/let down when compare to its predecessor i.e. redmi note 2 and note 3, especially if what was stated here is true/final. Just 802.11 b/g/n without dual band or ac which is a deal breaker for those who uses wifi a lot.

why the hell Redmi pro has 5.5'' inch screen? it is not a Note series product. They should have made it 5" inch, should reduce overall weight and dimension. and why everybody is going with hybrid sim slot. we indians want dual sim plus a separate slot for sd card.I hope xiomi is listening. I hope they have better DAC.

I'm using latest beta miui 8. Also i've never heard of x20 overheating. In cpu tasks helio x20/25 is much better than 650 and the gpu is around 20% better. One more thing, you should look at how great the os runs on redmi pro. There already are some videos. Snapdragon is good because ROMs and stuff, but never once I've wanted to switch from miui.

naveen , 27 Jul 2016hybrid sim is the worst con for every mobile I think using single sim is better because dual sim will create lot of network wave closer to our body and may cause cancer.

Why does everybody complain about Gorilla Glass???

Are people THAT lazy to search the infos regarding the Xiaomi screens???

Xiaomi uses multiple suppliers for the Redmi screens, so these are not Corning GG per se. The actual screen glass specs vary a bit, but the numbers clearly show a superior protection. In more simplistic terms: THESE SCREENS ARE BETTER THAN GORILLA GLASS.

The toughness of a screen is measured by ‘Vicker’s Hardness Test’.
The test includes a prism-shaped diamond being pressed into the screen, which creates an indent. A Vicker’s Hardness Number is calculated by dividing the amount of force applied by the square millimeter of the indent.

Rating Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Corning Gorilla Glass 4
                                  Density 2.39 – 2.45 g/cm3 2.42 g/cm3
                                  Young’s Modulus 69.3 – 70 GPa 65.8 GPa
                                  Shear Modulus 28.5 – 30 GPa 26.0 GPa
                                  Vicker’s Hardness (200g load) from 534 – 590 kgf/mm2 from 489 kgf/mm2
                                  to 649 – 670 kgf/mm2 to 596 kgf/mm2

Xiaomi says the Redmi Note 3′s screen has a Vicker’s Hardness Number of 649 – 670 kgf/mm2. This number is comparable with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4, which is present on most high-end flagship smartphones these days. In comparison to the Redmi Note 3, the Vicker’s Hardness Number for Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 is 596 kgf/mm2. It is clear that the Redmi Note 3′s display is equally, if not more adept at surviving the everyday rigors of life.

All Redmi screens are like that. Don't panic, don't rush to buy a tempered glass protector, don't tell BS about it. Read. Learn. Be somewhat smart. Enough said.
