Using it for 2 years.. with latest update.. .. Have 3 redmi y2 in my family.. I must say it is the best phone in the world.. Music sound quality is best.. But 2nd to Sony walkman series.. and camera is best in business.

Had this phone for more than a year
Was okay.
I don't like the fact that Xiaomi puts all their bloatware and their own apps with ads on it for basic stuff such as file explorer, pdf reader, etc...
Plus, in the latest update, the fingerprint sensor stopped working.
The fingerprint unlock is now no longer displayed in the security options.
For the time of the writing, this phone is not worth more than 50$ in my opinion.

Had the phone for a year now. Very good for its price. No lagging like some have experienced and I am on Android 9 and MIUI 11.0.5.

Ist you should on your internet.
Then put data cable with PC.
Go settings of your mobile.
On your usb teathering.
Your PC net will be working....

In using selfie camera some times its too many bright. detail-less images captured. What can I do for this?? Really disappointed about selfie experience.

Xiaomi is intentionally slowing down this phone. Ruined the ram management to the point that it can't run a single app in background. Even music. Xiaomi needs to be sued.

Vicktor90, 15 Feb 2020It is good in 2020 for 160$? Worth it???No. Because this mobile has become quite old. I have been using this phone for 1 year. Its processor has become quite old, so within this price you buy other phones, now you have got a better phone than redmi y2.

Bought this Jan. 2019, and this month, February, 2020 it started slowing down after the new update then 3 days ago, turned off suddenly. After I turned it back on, it just got stuck on the Mi logo and wont boot up. Only options that can be done is the stuck on MI logo or fastboot. No recovery mode. Went to The Xiaomi Authorized Service center and told me the warranty expired and have to pay 135 bucks to repair the motherboard. Well, thanks anyway.

i've been using this phone for only like a year and problems are starting to pop up. the first major one would be the fact that the phone is getting slower with each update (within expectation coz it's a cheap phone🤣). and the second one is the most annoying one. the phone can no longer support apps that are running in the background. for example.... im listening to spotify and i want to use whatsapp in the meantime, and i cant even do that. the spotify will be shut down . which means that i can only do one thing at a time!!!! it's not like i have lots of apps installed and i dont play any games!!(am i the only one having this problem?)
