Because of xiaomi note devices are mid range devices but redmi series are entry level devices. They used 625 in redmi note 4 because of 14nm finfet technology. It's 20% more efficient than 652.

Im not happy at all i have redmi note 4 and i expected the redmi note 5 will have bezzle less display :( this is verry bad from xiaomi i will sure change my order to another phone bezzle less for reasonable price like elephone s8 ;)

If Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (not 5A) isn't better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro (snapdragon 652), Xiaomi just officially became a joke ... IMO

There is some hope since the start price point of Note 5A is quite lower. Xiaomi will need to release the true successor of Note 4X with better spec and price/performance value.
