Xiaomi Smart Band 8 gets certified with two detachable straps
Xiaomi certified Smart Band 8 at NRRA Korea, and the listing came with photos, revealing key details about the wearable. The images reveal the device itself will stick to the pill-shaped design, but for the first time, the strap will be a two-piece instead of one rubber loop.
This isn’t the first time Xiaomi has implemented this solution in its wearables - the Redmi Watch 3 and the Smart Band 7 Pro also had two-piece straps that needed a small attaching mechanism. However, this is the first time the most affordable band of the company is getting the new solution.
Specs-wise, the NRRA said nothing about the band. However, given the fact the Smart Band 8 is indeed gathering certifications at markets around the world with the model number M2239B1, a launch should be just around the corner.

Well other brands do exist, but I guess it is Xiaomi's attempt of keeping bands and watches apart despite the distinction in general has become quite muddy as many smart-bands has the same/similar sensors and even housing as many smart-watches. ...
