Xiaomi teases Mi 8 in its 8 year anniversary video
Did you know that Xiaomi started operations 8 years ago in April of 2010? And to commemorate its anniversary Xiaomi is gearing up to a big event on May 31, where it will introduce its Xiaomi Mi 8 flagship.
We've had out fair share of Mi 8 leaks and teasers and so we can already paint a pretty good picture of it. It will have a 6.2-inch screen with a notch, Snapdragon 845 chipset, up to 8GB of RAM, dual 20MP f/1.7 and 16MP f/2.0 camera, front-facing 16MP f/2.0 camera, a 3,300mAh battery, its own Face ID and its own animoji.
Now Xiaomi has shared a teaser for its anniversary which hints certain Mi 8 features. A touch on a locked diary or cabinet opens it up - pointing to the in-display fingerprint scanner. There's an umbrella in the video too, which is likely a reference to water proofing on the Mi 8. Then there are a lot of colorful scenes - hopefully suggesting that the Mi 8 will be available in a number of colors. Here's the video itself.
Xiaomi's May 31 event will also bring the Mi Band 3 as well as MIUI 10.
