It has wonderfully rich info in the Mi Fitness app, but in Strava checks only 3 seconds of activity.
As I can compare with other sport modes (run, bike), this is the only one which doesn't activate the GPS sensor (the satelite icon over the GO button).
I will try and test to be close to the phone, by connecting it to the phone's hotspot (in hope of synching better with Strava).
And then also starting the workout through the Strava app (although the Strava doesn't recognize the S1 watch).
Will come back here with the result in about a week.

It does track my swimming but skips randomly 15% of training in average of last 10 sessions.
Anyone got suggestions?!
Reboot, reset, re-connect do not helps..
Tried to wake up during the breaks unlocking the the screen still does not help

Here is a small review after 2 months of usage for this watch. The hardware is absolutely amazing. Good battery life (10-15 days without gps and light training) Notifications are accurate. Speaker of the watch is pretty loud and clear. The main issue for me is that, you don't have the full contact list from your phone. No dial pad. You can only call using a list of recent call or misscall. Hope to have an update that will remediate this problem.

The disadvantage of s1 is that there is no wearOS which gives you great freedom of costume watch and watch face. You depend exclusively on xiaomi and their engagement to update additional costumes regularly. If you think 200 watch faces is a lot, you are wrong. Other applications and companies boast a number of 40,000 and even over 100,000. We all know that Xiaomi's weak point is improving the user experience and that it is very slow. On the other hand, because of this operating system, you have much greater clock autonomy. In general, the clock is not bad, but it can be much better if the updates are regular and high quality. Both watches and MIfit applications

Mai Dvices, 02 May 2022Been using the S1 Active for 2 weeks now. The battery life... moreYes me too !! Frequently "Couldn't Apply" when trying to download new watch faces. Solution : try to disconnect from bluetooth phone (not turning off bluetooth), then reconnect the watch. Mine solved. But i hope Xiaomi fixed it.
