I have bought Xolo from at 12k before 1 week and today I got update to Kitkat 4.4.2 :D
KITKAT UPDATE REVIEW !!
After update the look was changed, I like transparent statusbar and new dialer. The camera got new features like voice capture face detection. In settings we got new setting called Home to select default home launcher and in more... setting we got default sms app setting.
Now audio and video quality is improved and pictures taken are better than previous version 4.2.2.
Statusbar icons are white now and new kitkat launcher is super smooth just it looks bulky cause of huge icons so I m suing kk launcher which is more cool.
For video use MX player pro and for more advance look use Archos video player. For audio play back use Maven audio player, these players will give you high crisp volumes than stock one.
NOTICEABLE CHANGE, the multitasking and battery backup is improved now. Apps respond so fast it feels like I am having android with power of iOS fast!
YOUTUBE NOW RUNS 720P VIDEOS WITHOUT LAGGING NOTE IT ! THERE ARE NO SOFTWARE GLITCH NOW IN KITKAT UPDATE.
REVIEW OF HANDSET!
Camera :
Simply super, it is not like they said 8 MP and gave 5 MP and all. This is actual 8 MP camera and got sony feature and flash is also best. This takes super images and HDR works very well, for advanced effects use camera 360 app. Recording is 1080p and very smooth. Audio recording is crisp and clear. Front cam is not much attracting but ok ok.
Audio/video playback :
Can run anything you throw at it upto 1080p. I actually ran several HD movies like Adventure of tintin, Avatar, Transformers at 1080p lossless quality and they were super smooth and even seeking was fast. Use archos video player.
Audio is smooth and very nice in kitkat update note it, it tears if you listen in Jelly bean :D so update your handset and listen "Baby Me - Here comes the hotstepper (Evian version)" on headphone!
Earphone is loud, don't listen to old reviews.
Battery :
Can last upto 3-4 days on stand by and 10 hrs aprox. on heavy usage including 1 hr of music, 1 hr calling, 1 hr browsing and 30 min game play with wifi on whole day.
Display :
It's very crisp and no pixelation. No viewing angel problem and colors are vivid. Brightness is not very high that will hurt eyes :) but I wish i could lower it more by default, use screen filter app.
Gaming :
No challenge !
It ran every game till date with high graphics without a lag (On kitkat !) like Asphalt 8, Batman, Spiderman, Modern combat 4, Samurai 2 vengeance, Real racing 3, Riptide GT 2, NFS Most wanted 2, Temple run OZ etc, I checked every single game, and benchmark results were better than Moto G, unite 2 etc.
OS, Multitasking :
OS comes with only 3 preloaded apps XOLO care, Xolo Power and Xolo security no bloatwares. Awesome !
I ran viber, skype, hangout, whatsapp, video/live wallpaper, chrome,Maven player, youtube, Office Suit pro, Archos player simultaneously and nothing lost nor hang. In kitkat update you really get more power of multitasking.
Design :
Handset is lite, thin and very handy to hold, use swift key keyboard and use one handed setting to type using swipe in single hand, best experience!
Memory :
internally you get 4.3 GB to use aprox and 2 GB to install apps, I used 32 GB Samsung class 10 Micro SD card and it was super smooth! No lags even I filled it with 26 GB data.
CONS :
Capacitive button light isn't bright no issue.
Camera button is missing to capture :/ ok I will go with voice capture :D
In all if you get this phone for 11-12k then it's the best handset available in market for kitkat.

Finally receivet OTA for 298 mb update on my xolo Q 1010i not sure what is this update about as after clicking on "whats new" the webpage gets expired. Will keep you posted what the update is about. Hope so this should be Kitkat one

I was buy xolo q 1010i from snapdeal on 25 May but this phone was showing major problem like hanging lagging n did not install any app after two days i given this phone to snapdeal return but they did not replace it they refund me...but after one month i brought same phone again and again it is showing same problem...Very poor mobile...I swear i will never buy xolo's mobile again...

Sad my friend that your screen broke. Probably your question itself answers it. Even though the phone has dragontrail display yours cracked. One can conclude whose fault it is. Dragontrail is tested a thousand times and infact that's the same glass used in FIFA world cup over player benches. Now I wasn't holding a review battle brother. You just god a bad piece. Yes you can blame Xolo for it. I just contradicted you because my phone resisted several falls. Defective piece

I purchased q1010i 15 days back.
Here is my experience.
1. Battery backup/charging is worst. It took 3 hours to charge the battery and battery runs for a day after that.(Now they have mentioned in their website that it takes 3 hours to charge the phone, if i knew it before i would not have taken the phone.
2. Sometimes phone hangs.
3. look wise good.
4. GUI Not as fast as moto G or lumia 520.
5. Camera gud with broad light but not good on dark.
6. I would not recommend this phone to anyone.

The only let down I feel is the sound quality. Its not bad but its just OK. The best part as many have mentioned here is the camera.
This phone is really good and worth the buy.

i am posting this again for new users to read.

This is a true story regarding my Xolo Experience. You decide if you want to buy or not.
In short the company main motto is to fleece customers out of their hard earned money. Their after sales service is pathetic and I would recommend spend another 5000 rupess and buy another branded phone instead of Xolo.
1) Purchased the phone in May 2014. Was impressed with the phone except for the battery and the sound. Call quality is
exteremely good.
2) The phone accidentally fell down from my hand on the ground from a very short distance. The display broke immediately.
First fall and the display is gone. I was not able to do anything.
3) Took the phone to the service centre in Kopherkhairne (New Mumbai). It is a very small centre with 3 employees and a
receptionist. Doesnt look like a great place. The technician examined the phone and said that the display will have to be
replaced. I told him that the phone is in warranty and is purchased just 3 weeks back. He said that it is physical damage and
wont be covered. I asked him what kind of phone are you selling which break down in such a small fall. He said he cant say
anything about it and if i wanted to get it repaired 1 would have to spend 5000.
So for a phone for which I purchased it 10700, I have to spend 5000 to get it repaired.
4) Went to another service centre in Malad. It seems that the service centre itself has closed down. This is not updated in the website. The number given on site does not work at all.
5) Thought a lot, checked with my friends. They wer of the view that i should just throw away this phone and get new one insted of spending 5000. Anyways I decided to get it repaired as i am not a rich guy to buy new phone immediately.
6) Went to the service centre in Kopherkhairne again. Asked him if the company would take this phone back again and pay me money for the same. The service centre guy says since it is physical damage, it is considered out of warranty and I will get only Rs 1000. So this is another way of cheating customers. I asked him if they take credit card payment. He said that they will but charge 2% extra. So another way of cheating. Dealing in cash and earning black money.
7) Asked him whether the phone will be sent back to Xolo for repairs. He said No and it will be repaired in the service centre itself. I was shocked and thought what kind of service is this which repairs the screen there itself. I was not sure what screen they are going to put. I confirmed if it would be original Xolo.He said not to worry and it would be original.
8) There was a scratch guard on the phone. Asked whether I would get a new one after repairs. He said No and i would have to purchase it myself. Another way of cheating customers. They take 5000 for service but cant give a scratch guard. What nonsense.
9) Collected my phone after a week. The screen has been replaced. Its been two days and i would post further updates regarding the overall performance.

The display broke in the first fall itself and that too from a short length and it cost me 5000 to just get it repaired. If this has Dragontrail display then why did it break my friend. Plz tell me.
