or 2.go tyo you nearest Xolo or Lava service center and ask them for software update !

whi... moreJust got an opportunity to lay my hands at xiaomi mi3 bought by my colleague yesterday in sale at flipkart. Mobile is good looking and sleek. camera quality is marvellous, i can say better then xolo q3000. Processor we can't even compare as xiaomi has a 2.3ghz quad core qualcomm snapdragon processor. UI is somewhat like apple which i didn't liked. It was no ways looking like an android. I found it miserable rather. Sound quality of speakers was not that good but sound quality of q3000 is also not good. Screen clarity on papers look more for xiaomi but a video clip we played at both q3000 and xiaomi mi3 and couldn't notice any difference. infact my xolo q3000 showed the details more crisp and clear. anyways anything above 386 PPI our eye cannot catch so xiaomis 441 PPI made no sense. we ourselves checked that out. Processing speed wise yes Xiaomi MI3 is blazing fast. games like asphalt 8, Shadowgun, Dead trigger 2 ran like buttery smooth on xiamoi which does feel laggy on xolo Q3000. one more thing about Xiamo MI3 was that's its keypads touch sensitivity was way better then stock android keyboard which is at Xolo Q3000.
Even though Xiaomi gained my appreciation but at one point we have to think what exactly we want. These are two different mobiles with different specs. Xiaomi MI3 can be the best at this budget but then we should not forget that its screen is 5". To me still i would like to stay with my Xolo Q3000 because it does all the tasks easily and much richer in entertainment value then MI3. Trust me guys Till now i haven't seen a better entertainer then Xolo Q3000. so you choose if you want 5" phone go for Xiaomi mi3 and if you want a big screen phone then choose Xolo Q3000.
Although Xiaomi mi3 has huge problem with service center and availability itself. Flipkart sale starts and within a minute it runs out of stock. Really a strange phenomenon i have seen. Just because of a beasty processor people are going nuts. It will be interesting to see when another company comes with the same processor in this range. But let me remind you the customisation of Xiaomi on android is pathetic. really really pathetic.

regarding easiest and safest way to root Q3000 for jelly beans os is to download an App called VROOT from blackmart as this app is not available at Play store. i have unrooted my Q3000 by the same app. but the same app doesn't works for Kitkat and i am also searching for a suitable app to root kitkat as soon our Xolo Q3000 will get its official kitkat os update. if i will find any good app to root kitkat i will post its link here :)

You can definitely choose Xolo Q3000 if you want a big rich screen. but then 8x-1000 has a marvelous octa core processor. but the battery is not upto the mark. camera is weak. screen is hd with less PPI. but yes its OS is different with some Hive UI. i don't know what beauty will that add to os and what could be the repurcussions.
I would also suggest you to take a look at ASUS ZENFONE 6. looks marvellous and has intel dual core processor with hyper threading. Plus we all know that Asus is damn good at designing GPUs. Its cost is also in your budget. you can definitely choose between these two. Still i chose Xolo Q3000 because of better service availablity and a richer screen. :)

Grand 2 has a qualcomm snapdragon 1.2 ghz quad core processor
Q3000 certainly is more powerful than grand 2
2) RAM
Xolo Q3000 comes with 2GB RAM
Grand 2 has 1.5 GB RAM
More RAM is always better as it facilitates multitasking, hence here also
Xolo q3000 wins easily
3) Storage
Xolo Q3000 comes with 16 GB of internal storage.
Grand 2 comes with 8 GB of internal storage.
More internal memory reduces the need to buy an external memory card.
Xolo Q3000 wins here as well
4) Camera
Xolo Q3000 has a rear 13 MP camera and front camera is 5 MP.
Grand 2 comes with 8 mp rear camera and 1.9 mp front camera.
Q3000 rear camera in terms of picture clarity is equal to 8MP of samsung but its front camera outbeats Grand 2 easily. trust me selfies come really great.
5) Screen size
Xolo Q3000 comes with 5.7" screen.
Grand 2 comes with 5.2" screen.
Xolo has a bigger screen so if you don't want too humongous screen you can go for grand 2. but i like big screen.
6) Screen resolution
Xolo Q3000 has a full hd screen with a pixel density of 386 PPI.
Grand 2 has a HD screen with a pixel density of 280 PPI.
Full hd screen is much better then HD screens and having high PPI makes text and videos much crisp and detailed.
So Xolo outbeats Grand 2 here as well.
7) Screen type
Xolo Q3000 has IPS LCD.
Grand 2 has TFT screen.
IPS LCD is much more superior and rich when it comes to viewing angles and trust me even my S3 was not that good at viewing angles but Q3000 u turn it to any angle the screen doesn't looses even a bit of color richness.
Q3000 beats the living hell out of Grand 2 here as well.
8) Battery
Xolo Q3000 comes with a 4000 MAH monstorous battery.
Grand 2 comes with 2600 MAH battery.
Bigger battery always makes sure you don't run out of juice when most needed. Q3000 beats Grand 2 easily here as well.
9) Weight
Xolo Q3000 weights 202Gms
Grand 2 weights 163 gms.
Grand 2 is certainly light weight as compared to Xolo Q3000.
here Grand 2 beats Xolo Q3000.
10) Price
Xolo Q3000 costs 14800 to 15800 on flipkart and other sites
Grand 2 costs 20000 to 21000 on sites
Xolo Q3000 has more features for a lesser price so you save money as well.
As you saw most of the comparisions Xolo Q3000 beats Grand 2 easily. Plus you get a full featured phone for lesser price then a less featured phone. Off coarse if you talk about brand value samsung has it all. plus it provides a customised android so that is one factor which Xolo lacks but i don't think that should be the reason to compromise on features and choose a brand. I liked using Xolo Q3000 after using Samsung S3 for two years. I won't say S3 was better or not then Q3000 but certainly many things in Q3000 i find better then my Samsung galaxy S3. so you can understand what comparison can Grand 2 fight for. Still if you want a brand in your hand definitely you can choose Grand 2 but go and check a demo piece of Q3000 i can gaurantee you won't even look towards Grand 2. :)
