Hello All,
I brought Yureka Plus and I was using it for a month now. All these while I have given it hell lot of torture and believe me guys this one is really a ZEUS of phones. SIMPLY AWESOME. For the price range we cannot compare its specs and durability with any other phone let it be lenovo or Moto G. Here is the review from a true user without any bias
Pros:
1. Display : Extraordinary display, plays all full HD videos without any lag. Youtube videos while at 720 or 1080 gives the best result and you will fall in love.
2. Processor : All high intensity graphic games including Asphalt, Dead Trigger, Modern Combat, Game of Thrones worked brilliantly without any lag or frame loss.
3. Feel : Very smooth and butter like flow on the screen and touch resistance. Perfectly stays in hand and all the hard keys are easily accessible in one hand.
4. OS : Cyanogen, definitely yes, few tweaks here and there, better than stock android UI. You will start loving the phone as the days passes, finding and setting up new things that brings a smile on your face. ex Speed dialer, double to wake n sleep, themes, different colors on led, accessing notifications while on lock screen, n handful of short cuts.
5. Music and Speakers: Play Music, which is the audio player in Yu Plus, is awesome and inbuilt app called Audio FX which enhances audio and acts as equalizer does a splendid job. Like a cream on a pie, Yu Plus has got the best handsfree, the bass is truly amazing and when I listen to songs mostly AR Rehmans, it feels so crisp, clear and foot thumping. Awesome work on that department, as good as the earlier sony walkman series earphones. External speakers are not very loud but yes does more than a decent job compared to other handsets in the market from bigger brands.
6. Camera : Both front and rare cameras did their job very well. Not much of noise, pics are very clear, face detection mode, readymade filters, panorama etc are perfect. Front camera takes very nice selfies even without an autofocus. Rare camera is very fast and consumes less shutter lag time while clicking continuously. Video footage was best with HD quality and colors are so natural and rich.
7. Processor & Multitasking: No lag or hang what so ever, even after running multiple apps, games in parallel.
8. Charging : quickly charges because of the charger that Yu supplied. Took almost or less than 3 hrs for a charge from 0-100%. Once fully charged, the phone lasts for a day and a quarter on a modern usage. I usually listen songs, check all my emails, FB, some surfing, usual watsapp, full time 3G/WiFi ON, and close to 2-3 hrs of calls, still it stays a day and another 3-4 hrs, which I feel is pretty good even though it had a Full HD screen which consumes almost 30% battery charge of a phone.
9. PhotoPhase : An inbuilt app, which allows to have your pics as wallpaper. It is customised and can show only specific folders, pics or anything. And the frames are customised too. Brings a smile on your face when activated and watching your loved ones pics changing over and over on home screen.
Cons:
1. Heating Issue: Yes the phone slightly heats up but not like its boiling or exploding like how it is portrayed in other sites. Once the high end apps are closed it even gets cooler in few mns.
2. Proximity Sensor Issue: had this issue when I got the phone but then a research in internet and few tweaks, its resolved. It is perfectly fine now. So cant say as a con but yeah still a glitch.
3. Internal- SD card movement : Few Apps which I downloaded from play store, I m not able to move to external SD card, not sure if I am wrong in the way I did. But yeah considering the 12.8 GB internal storage this is not an issue.
4. Video Player: Stock video player is not so impressive. I have installed MX Player. and if we try playing videos from gallery it will not show option as play with A.Video Player B. MX player. By default the videos in gallery play with stock video player. Not a concern again but yeah still if there is such option it would have been great.
Hope I was able to provide all the possible feedback on Yu Yureka Plus.
I would rate a 9.5 out of 10 for this phone (-0.5 only for heating, I hope it will be resolved in next CM update)
