Recently purchased this phone from Orange UK £94 +£20 top-up. Debranded and rooted and installed Cyanogen Mod 7 RC 4 (Gingerbread 2.3.3). Really impressed with this phone great screen (LCD Version) and plays Angry Birds ,no problem. I find that the battery life has improved with this installed mod, although still needs charging
every day, but then my iPhone 3GS is the same. Would give this phone 8 out of 10 with current mod.

Hasnaat, 22 Mar 2011Is it really so easy process to unlock, debrand and 2.2 update?@Hasnaat
yes. i bought an Orange San Francisco from Argos in the UK yesterday. today it is unlocked and running debranded Android 2.2 (Japanese Jellyfish 9). just follow the instructions at android[dot]modaco[dot]com.
@Anonymous
they are not official. they are builds of android that clever people have built from the source code.

I bought this phone for a very low price, originally £99.99 from Tescos minus £20 in vouchers, I got it for £79.99. There is an offer on at the moment where you get £10 off any item when you spend £50 or more online. I digress, on with my experiance.
I found the overall build quality of the phone to be above adverage, it is plastic and so is the screen cover. I do however find that the phone becomes almost slippy with a build up of fingerprints, so be careful when holding it.
My version of the phone came with the LCD instead of the OLED, which I was fine with as I have only ever used LCD-screened phones.
I have had problems with the battery, obviously the more apps you have running the quicker the battery life discharges so I have downloaded a task "killer" or manager from the Android Market. I find that I have to charge the phone every day and that I have to leave it on overnight because it is also my morning alarm, which does not sound if the phone is switched off.
I have unlocked and de-branded this handset and have used both 2.1 and 2.2 with it, and I can safetly say that 2.2 will drain the battery off quicker than 2.1, so you may want to stay away from that. Please do not try to de-brand your handsets as you may "brick" them.
As with any phone, especially touchscreens, I have bought a screen protector from eBay (two for £1.90) please, please, please buy a screen protector!
I am very impressed with this phone and would rate it 7 out of 10. The bad points being battery life.

Hasnaat, 22 Mar 2011Is it really so easy process to unlock, debrand and 2.2 update?Unlocking is extremely simple. Debranding and/or upgrading the OS is only moderately difficult, actually instructions to do so are very detailed, all you need to do is follow the steps exactly and you'll have no issues.

I have this phone and it is fantastic. I have already debranded it and installed Froyo 2.2 which was very easy to do. The value for money on this handset is amazing.
It gets a 10/10 for me. Only downside(and it is a small downside) is that the battey takes a little longer than your average phone to charge.

It has live wallpapers, multitouch, gyroscope. It has no flash player though. Works pretty good, the sensor is okay, but i don't really feel the RAM memory - it lacks a bit.
