Never has been in my case. If anything, my dedicated DAC player is dusting in the drawer. Here's a tip: MP3 won't work, go for FLAC or WAV to get the full effect.

The Sabre dacs in the LG phones were incredibly mediocre and poor sounding so I have no idea why you would want to put the same in this underpowered phone. My goodness so many self-proclaimed "audiophiles" spew out the most obnoxious BS and obsess over the same parroted talking points over and over again.

this... this is definitely something. I like the idea of having multiple jacks, but it looks more like a concept than something to be produced for sale.

JustGoogleIt, 28 Feb 2024I technically don't know what you can run on a 23nm ch... moreHeadphone jack is always going to stay relevant on smartphones and it never goes outdated. Put it this way: Why would Sony put it back on the 2020 Xperia 1 Mk2 when they could've easily continue selling phones without it as they did with the 2018 and 2019 flagships? After all, they also make their own wireless earbuds. In the end, common sense always going to win the day.

Not sure about the SoC choice, but the dual 3.5mm audio jack totally piques my interest. While most smartphone OEMs remove it because of wireless earbuds, ZTE gone nuts by putting two of them. If this phone has a better SoC and a dedicated ESS Saber DAC built in, this would easily be my favourite entry-level smartphone of 2024.

By this time I would think it's more trouble for a foundry to dust up a 28 nm process, i.e. these chips must be surplus from years back. How to make $ out of surplus chips? You turn them into niche products. All in all not a bad idea

waiting for the nubia music pro with helio g99 or dimensity 6080. or any other midrange chips.

Indo gamer, 28 Feb 2024This look like phone in 2000In what world, lmao.

This phone could have potential as DAP/smartphone/mini speaker hybrid, but i believe its a bit underpowered to be worth it, not to mention its a half-assed in execution. If its a music dedicated device, why does it have a mono speaker? For 150$ i would expect a bit better specs and we still don't know if it has dac or not.

I really hope it wont totally flop so we might see a follow up in the future

Ouh I like the design of that phone
The two headphone jacks are interesting but still very niche, and I doubt the built in DAC that they're going to use in this phone will be a high quality one
I wonder how that speaker will sound though

It's just unfortunate though that they used a Unisoc SC9863A processor, the T600 series are already there as a good budget processor option why even use this dated one

                            Two headphone jacks? Heck yes

Looks like a lot of fun. If it's going to have a DAC I might buy one. Love the design!

How many other phones have had dual jacks before? Also, do these dual jacks have quad DAC?

Does it have dual front speakers? Like Sony and Rog devices

This phone better contain a dedicated DAC or else the 'music' moniker is an absolute disgrace.

Fire the mf who decided using a 28nm chip in 2024 was a good idea. Phone seems cool but chipset is where they messed up. 720p 90hz is decent

FINALLY a phone for me, because the speakers on all other phones I've had were always way too quiet to the point that I could barely make out dialogue in videos. This phone will finally solve that issue once and for all.
