Damn...I just about to buy this but looking for non-removable battery, I think I may skip this one. Phone may be hot when you play while charging because as for me, I like to prepare additional battery playing games.

This phone is slow and it heats up, the battery lasts for 6 hours with minimal use, I can't even play games smoothly because it keeps crashing, it runs a custom Android firmware which is overloaded.dont buy this phone on the 3 day the rgb lighting stopped functioning..... Worst phone ever...

I just love how people complaining about why 835 and not 845. This phone is funded through indiegogo, mainly backup mostly buy people or consumer who love and invest in this phone. Just think as patreon or something. Since it's Nubia first "gaming" phone and they probably don't want to put too much stake and stress out the phone or customer. 835 is relatively cheaper so that Nubia can make it more competitive. Black Shark cost around 2.3k at my area while Red Magic cost around 1.6k a, a totally 700 difference. Plus, we just use it to play games only, not the whole day checking on the chipset benchmark. Use 845, good chipset but not budget at all, use 835 an average good chipset but a good budget. Anyway, it's your call in the end.

Cause first of all the shark get hot very fast(you can see the reviews online) and is so weird cause it has the liquid system for get cold but really doesn't work at all!!when you download or play get hot all around and in the bottom. The camera of the shark is shit!! Cause shark is not xiaomi at all! Xiaomi payed and help this new company but is not a xiaomi phone and the camera is a low class camera. So nubia has a better screen also and a better camera(good photos also in the night) and doesn't get hot and you can play a lot and the phone is lighter than the shark and more confortable in the hand. :)

so I m really undecided between this or black shark. obviously different prices. but I think the cooling system makes a big difference doesn t it? and another thing snapdragon 845 shall perform better and drain less battery right?

A lot of negative views without anyone really knowing. The phone hasn't officially released but the specs look really good. Yes it has last year's flagship octa core processor which is still better than a new SD 660 or 630 paired with 8gb of ddr4 ram and 128gb ufs2.1 internal storage with a cooling system to keep the processor from throttling and four quad stereo speakers Even if they only release Android 8.1 and never updated it would still be an awesome device.
ZTE is only a 49% owner of Nubia so they shouldn't be affected by the ban on ZTE. A good thing they have diversified. So updates shouldn't be a problem.
I would like to see any phone with the same specs for under $400 new?
US customers have to wait until July for officially released device but have two options. Buy a$9 voucher to get two codes, one to get launch price and another for$50 off accessories. Or purchase a testing device and get a test unit in May and then when the official release they will replace the test unit with a new one optimized for US customers. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me.
I got the testing version for US customers and can't wait to see what it can do. The rgb strip on the back is totally useless but also fun. I think Nubia made the right choice. If they put the SD 845 it would cost too much for people to try. The SD 835 is not like the 820/21. Those 820 chips vs. 835 are way different vs. 845 is just clocked higher with some optimizations so it is not a huge difference from 835. Same architecture as well. When SD releases a 7nm chip then I would definitely want the upgrade.

Sad that it is a limited edition. Probably wont release world wide? Also, no security update and android after it was banned by us. Really good looking phone. The design is very tempting.

In my country this phone not cheap and it cost 2000 or more. It is a very interesting phone and the good part is it come with headphone jack thats are very very useful for me.
