    fulcrum, 27 Oct 2019does this phone have any problems like the previous red magic 3?After applying the 2.05 update and a week of use i can say that works fine, just a few translation issues at some menus and no native dark mode yet
    The phone is extremerely powerfull and without intrusive personalization, just a plain Android aosp system (something that some people may hate, not me)

      does this phone have any problems like the previous red magic 3?

        @Elvis Imbaye

        But no the cool'est, it runs pretty hot and throttles fast.

          This is the coolest. Snapdragon 855+

              Anonymous, 10 Oct 2019There has to be a catch right? Costs around 500$ and has... moreNo NFC, no card slot, Cameras don't have any form of stabilization (although there is a way to program EIS onto every phone thankfully), no wireless charging, pretty dim AMOLED panel (unless they fixed this with the 3S), and, while the software is Vanilla Android, there's barely ANY customizations (the global version, SOMEHOW lacks System-Wide Dark UI and even a way to lower the refresh rate in case you want to save a little more battery).

              Thankfully, a lot of the above can be forgiven due to the AMAZING hardware it has being, like you said, the front-facing stereo speakers, headphone jack, big battery, NO ESSENCE of overheating...ever, 90Hz refresh rate, QuickCharge 4, UFS 3.0, and no notch. Honestly, if it had a brighter AMOLED panel, card slot, and slightly more customization options (maybe even Android One TBH), I'd get this phone in a heartbeat. $600 for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of hard drive space ain't bad at all.

                Front camera make 3s look ugly on front

                  No microSD slot and USB 2.0 which is too slow. I have compared transfer speed of the microSD card (Sandisk Extreme 128GB V30) with an USB 3.0 connection to a Samsung Galaxy S5, and speed over USB was laughably slow compared to the USB 3.0 card reader from Kingston. I do not want to remove the microSD card to copy data to/from it, this is inconvenient. I hope next year there are no more smartphones with USB 2.0. I like the notch-free display and the 3.5mm jack, and I like the size because reading ebooks on my 5" Samsung S5 is not convenient, especially not in PDF format. Yes I know a tablet or notebook is far better to do this on travel, but a smartphone I have always with me, and a larger display does not hurt.

                          There has to be a catch right?

                          Costs around 500$ and has Snapdragon 855+, AMOLED, stereo speakers, audio jack with incredible audio quality, beautiful design and notchless if I see clearly?

                          Is NFC missing? Are updates slow for the Nubia series? Is it getting Android 10 and higher?

                          The absence of a SD slot is kind of a bummer but there are ways to connect external storage devices with the USB and i forgot the year when I listened to a radio so the price and specs make me want to buy this really bad

                            Great price. Shame that you'll need a backpack to carry it.
                            They should start to make gaming tablets and leave phones in a pocket size category

I also don't feel like importing this model since it has limited band frequencies and also a bit slower Wi-Fi if I'm not mistaken. You also don't get the cooler and 30W charger included with this model so you do lose out on some features with the reduced price!

                                  bettter get rog 2 tencent version, small difference price if you living in asia, idk eu na

                                    Better to buy the Rog 2 512 GB model for just above $1000 (Europe, Sweden) or wait for this phone which I believe will be close to half in price around 500-600 dollars when it is released..? Is the extra refresh rate and memory/storage plus maybe slightly higher quality of the Rog 2 worth all that money? What do people think? Nubia Z20 also an interesting contender that is being released shortly... You miss the higher refresh rate screen but get really good gaming performance, the back screen works as extra buttons in gaming too just like air triggers but you don't get extra cooling on this...

                                      Narath, 26 Sep 2019Mine has already auto update to 9 already.Congrats you have a different carrier. T-Mobile however, doesn't care.
