1) no OTA for 90fps gaming on pubg mobile
2) no HDR playback support
3) wifi 6E doesn't support most of the routers
i contacted redmagic support, they replied with these things are beyond their controls, hence told me contact pubgmobile directly for 90fps support and for hdr support they said to contact the streaming service and for wifi. bad experience, all other smartphone companies can push it with OTA but redmagic can't

exynos = bad for gaming performance battery life
snapdragon is better 8 gen 1 is far better
i will defend mediatek here
The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 is a good processor
Am sure some gamers would love too have a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 edition of this phone being made along side the snapdragon 8 gen 1 version of this phone

The problems you said about xiaomi phones with forced update omg they force people too update there phones then Boot loop, dead boot, system lag, network coverage interruption and many more might happen this is so very bad
People who buy xiaomi phones are throwing away money and hurting the smartphone market by paying for bad products and making them profitable and hurting good products
by not supporting them or buying them

Most hardcore Gamers want the latest and greatest phones possible
So they buy this phone game on it for 2 years they sell it second hand as it is no longer the best phone at gaming any more
Then they use there money too buy a
newer red magic phone that is better at running there games so they can play better and win games more often
It sad os support is not as good as it should be and this is a real weakness of red magic phones sadly
Android 12 should be supported by google for at least a few years
custom rom support might be possible
On the hardware side this phone has a long life some games are harder too run then others so if the games you are into have low system requirement games and your not always trying too play the latest and greatest the phone will be useful for a long time
Most games i play don't care about the android os version there on
Some games will only work well only work well on some android versions or phones they where tested on when the game was made
As far back as android 6 works with most games but if you buy a phone today get at least android 10 as i don't recommend buying a new phone on a unsupported version of android
Games just want lots of ram and storage cpu & gpu

I'm still using Galaxy note 9 from 2018 that was still running smooth aside from battery issue its still fast and smooth. It still received update last May 2022.

So many usable phones rendered useless due to abandonment. To bad there is no mobile equivalent for Linux that is making old laptops still serviceable.

Very Good CPU (Snap Dragon 8+ gen 1) with 1TB Space and 18GB RAM .
If the CPU was exynos, this phone would need a radiator and thermostat with a blue air conditioner !!

I tried to keep my phone with SD820 as long as possible before It was the Samsung Note II. I was like this was like fastest phone at it's time and it's really slow.
No matter what we do they just make it worse. I tried to keep my phone with SD820 at Android 7 as long as possible because game I play is horrible. Finally gave in and just get the phone with SD845.
