If you use your phone in English, you have a good chance to upgrade MyOS to Android 14, the Chinese version (it has English language).

For me there wasn't any data loss (make a backup!), Google Play and other apps still work... I was able to easily uninstall Z-Assistant which was hardwired into the previous version :)
Just copy the update.zip file from the zip file to the root folder and the phone can recognize it and update itself in the settings menu.

ZTE/Nubia is great at making glorified garbage products. Android 15 is around the corner and this shit ain't done releasing android 14. And my overall experience with this brand is fkn horrible. ZTE/Nubia is in my avoided list and you should too. Now i cant stop myself from buying a new phone. I should have just waited for 2024 phones instead.

I'm using this phone almost a year. mine is Chinese 8/256 gb varient. Android and my os version 13. I never got any ota updates and i think this is actually good because now a days phone updates never brought any good things. I have some recommendations for who are now using this phone.
1. Never update your phone.
2. Do not use fast charger (even included one). Use only 15 to 20 watt pd charger.
3. Never use this phone under direct sunlight.

Zach, 05 Aug 2024I didn't even receive a single update. How come you got it?I dont know, it automatically notifies me to update, although its has time interval, 3 months per update, however these updates is getting my phone slower and buggy. So I dont really recommend to update it, unless you take the risk, new features, yes, but its useless since its all in Chinese and no English Support, such as the AI feature in the new update.

this phone is a scam, i face some hardware issues and cant get it fix even with warranty because no service centers in my country, also very awful customer service. should have wait for 2024 phones instead, redmi turbo 3 or poco f6 seems nice and priced fairly. never buying zte and nubia phones ever again.

Every update is getting worst, MyOS 14.5.0 is sluggish and it gets a bug in Facebook and Messenger where the notification toolbar is not matching to its colors.

Hi everyone, I'd like to ask if your Nubia Z50 still has charge separation? When I acquired the phone, it has charge separation but after 3 weeks, it disappeared. Customer service told me Nubia z50 doesn't have this feature so I'm confuse.

I mean I like this phone, I really do, but I don't think I will ever buy a ZTE phone again. I'm still on Android 13 and MyOS 13. It's been ages now. Still on 13.0.21MR_NX711J. Also the battery isn't as good as it used to be when I got it like a year ago.
