Exinoxe, 02 May 2023No tax import in Europe anymore from Aliexpress, you alread... moreNot really true. If an article is more than 150€ then when you check-out you'll see the tax deduction. For example the phone is 700€, when you check-out it shows you that you'll pay around 550€ and there was a tax deduction of 150€ for you to pay to your country customs when it arrives. The trick is to ask the seller to mark the item for less than 150€ that way you won't pay the customs fees.

Also no warranty, keep that in mind.

Hi everyone. I really want to get this phone. I am in the usa and they charge way over price for it on usa based sites and on ebay. I see really good prices on Ali Express and Alibaba. I never purchased anything from those platforms before. For on Ali Express it says official Nubia store. Is it ok to buy? Or where would be the best platform to buy this ? Thank you all.

Just like other people say, 35mm camera is amazingly good, I would't change it for any other phone wider lenses.

The 40 has like zero bezels on the side. I've become quite fond of the razor-thin side bezels. I appreciate the insight though!

The bottom bezel is just a tiny bit thicker, I would say that a same size as iPhone bezels (13 series) and the rest are symmetrical and slightly smaller. And the screen isn’t iPhone flat, a small curve toward the frame, 2.5D as they say.

Sid, 29 Apr 2023How is the haptics? Has it been receiving some updates?Haptics are good but that does not tell the whole tale. I have Samsung S23+ and it has very soft but quality haptics, you can’t hear them at all. I also have iPhone 13 Mini and I like Apples taptic engine the best, perfect balance between soft amd tight. I also had Sony Xperia 1 IV recently and it had so ticking haptics that it was a sound basically.
Nubia has more tight and firm than soft but not like Sony. Buy you definitely hear the phone buzzing when vibrating. Writing haptics are good for me. Not Apple good, but good enough.
In two week period I received 3 system updates.

How are the bezels on the phone. I'm currently using the Axon 40 Ultra, and these bezels are just about non-existent. I realize the screen is flat and not curved, which makes the bezels more noticeable... but are they 'really' as small as shown in the images?

Been using this phone for 2 weeks now (in Finland) and I can confirm that Android Auto is only thing that does not work. Banking apps, Google Pay, Google Play Services, they all work. After uninstalling all the bloatware, only 8 system apps remains and no ads anywhere.
There is some tweaking with notifications for some apps but the batterylife is good. Cycle after cycle I get 2 full days with 7-9 hours of SOT when the low 20% warning strikes. And from that 20% it takes 25min to 100% with the original charger. Not quite sure what type of charging it is using bc my Samsung 25w car charger works faster than my 65w PD wall prick 🤷
Size is massive and robust. Screen is good quality, not the best. It gets bright enough though. Some quality issues when in minimal brightness but just minor things (uneven panel, 120hz to 60hz gives a slight tone difference etc.). I still enjoy this screen very much, gaming is enjoyable and watching 21:9 content is satisfying bc no holes!
But the cameras are the best part I think. The 35mm main cam is my favorite by far. Excellent portrait shots without the portrait mode. I was skeptical about the processing but ZTE proved me wrong. Pictures are quite natural and nothing like Samsungs mess (I hate taking photos with my s23+ after this). Camera app software is a mess though, millions and millions of choices 😂
And thank you for that Niagara tip to change the launcher! Gonna try that first thing tomorrow.
Overall, pretty great phone even outside China.
