nubia posts first unboxing video for the new Z70 Ultra

nubia just unveiled its latest flagship with Leica cameras and an expansive display with no cuts into it, thanks to the under-display 16MP camera. The company also shared the first unboxing and promo video for the new phone.

The nubia Z70 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and a larger 6,150mAh battery with 80W charging. Its 6.85” display runs at up to 144Hz and has a higher pixel density than the Z60 Ultra display. The main 50MP camera now has a variable aperture for its 35mm lens. The 64MP 2.7x periscope can focus up close (15cm) and the 50MP ultra wide camera got a wider lens compared to its predecessor (122° vs. 100°).

The new model is thinner and lighter (8.6mm, 228g vs. 8.8mm, 246g), but it is also tougher as it now has an IP69 rating. As you saw in the video, there is a limited edition model with a back inspired by Van Gogh’s The Starry Night (this is a trademark look for the nubia phones).

The nubia Z70 Ultra is already available for pre-order in China, starting at CNY 4,600 ($635). Shipments will start on the 25th (Monday). A global launch is scheduled for November 26.

They don't tho. IP68 means you can submerge a phone in 1.5 meters of fresh water for 30 minutes. IP69 means your phone can handle water jets of up to 80C.
