ZTE Speed goes official with $99 contract-free price tag

23 December, 2014

ZTE took the wraps off the budget-friendly Speed smartphone in the United States. The entry-level LTE handset is available for Boost Mobile and costs $99.99 with no contract.

ZTE Speed features Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 chipset with 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and 1GB of RAM. There is no word on the resolution of the device’s 4.5” display for the time being.

The device packs 8GB of expandable memory, which can be further expanded via microSD card slot. A 5MP main camera, 2MP front-facing unit, and 2,000mAh battery round up the highlights of the device’s spec sheet. ZTE Speed boots Android 4.4 KitKat.
