ZTE to launch nubia Z50 Ultra with under-display camera on March 7

The nubia Z50 Ultra smartphone is set to arrive with a 4th-gen under-display camera, and now we know the official launch date. The brand will introduce the device on March 7 with a UDC technology called Neovision.

The device will have a stacked 16 MP selfie camera with a 6P lens, 2.24 µm pixel size, and f/2.0 aperture under the 6.8” AMOLED panel.

The official teasers confirmed leaked schematics from before - flat sides all around and an alert slider on the right, above the power key and the volume rocker. There is a tiny sliver between the screen and the top for the earpiece, which could also act as a second stereo speaker.

We are yet to learn more specs about the nubia Z50 Ultra, but given the vanilla’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, we expect the same SoC here. The regular nubia Z50 had a custom-made 35 mm equivalent main camera with a 64 MP sensor, and we are eager to learn whether this flagship will inherit the whole setup and what else the brand is hiding in its sleeve.

The official unveiling is in a week, and we expect the ZTE brand to tease more details in the days leading to the event.

For you yes, but for most people who will buy S23 Ultra no, most people would be pretty upset if they bought a brand new 1000+ dollar phone and it's selfies looked god awful, especially in day and age where selfies are popular. So yeah, whi...

Will disagree, I personally do notice slight difference between phones with 1440p and 1080p screens Its just that after 400ppi you are getting diminishing returns, kinda like with high refresh rate.
