Worst phone ever, I can't even get updates to the two applications I have because the storage space is taken up by factory updates. I clear messages, phone logs, email trash, only have 7 pictures in my gallery and I still can't get timely email. Do not buy this phone! Finally able to get rid of mine, never buying Alcatel again.

They say that this phone has "4 GB" of storage, but that's not true. You only get 1.80 GB which is terrible. The battery life percentage isn't always true. (Battery speed drain at 15%, giving your phone 150 seconds to live) Although it does handle games fairly well, just not for long when you use up the space. I recommend downloading Google Photos to save storage for pictures and video. The SD card slot is fragile and only lasts for about 6 months, after that your SD will no longer read properly. Skip this phone folks, there a lot of frustration you will have if you owned this phone.

I got this phone a a cheap replacement it fairs well accept anytime i put it in my pocket it gets turned, off. It has faired well but was lacking audio quality. Which is a let down for me. But it's fair for a 50 dollar phone. But I don't run many apps. It would be a good phone for a teen-ager but not exayly my cup of tea.

Phone camera don't focus atall just snaps.
No memory/ SD card don't work because no internal memory to transfer from.
Inconsistent speed.
It is the phone
not the ooperator I don't use apps and keep my cache an misc clear still runs bad and did also delete all my pictures when memory got full no warning.. but that's user fault my own fault for not watching space limit on internal storage

I love this phone holds a charge speed is great pictures are fine and clear no problems at all oh I got it at Wal-Mart for $17.00 on sale no complaints at all thanks Alcatel for this phone!!!!

I got this phone on sale at Wal-Mart and I had another alcatel phone for 3 years this phone is great the speed is great pictures are great and I haven't found any issues with it yet every time I use it I find f

Phone doesn't scan UPC bar codes or ISDN numbers for books. Camera doesnt focus properly to read them. Doesn't take good pictures either. With only 2gb of RAM, can't have too many apps. Even after I added a 32gb SD card and selected it as the default to save things to AND moved as many apps as I possibly could to the SD card from the phone storage - when I go to the Google Play Store to download a new app, it says I don't have enough space even when I do. Aaarrrggghhh!

I have used this Astro about 10 months with zero issues.
I can honestly say I like this phone very much! A optional SD card is all but required. I see reviews complain about the phones memory of 4GB. For less than $13 I purchased a 32 GB ( max size for this phone) SD card to hold pics and such and have no issues..
The quad core processor is impressive at this price and runs my apps fine.
The display looks fine for streaming video and was better then I expected at this price point. The wifi calling feature works great and the cell phone (talk) operation is much better than my older phone and the audio sound quality is fantastic The WIFI works very fast on my home network as well as public WIFI but do note it only works in the 2.4 Ghz range and not the newer 5 Ghz range but 2.4 Ghz is a standard and works great. The 4G data system used with the cell tower is very fast as well!
The battery life is very respectable; I do not recharge everyday and I like having a replaceable battery if the battery ever stops holding a charge it can be replaced.
The only negative I see is the low performing camera. This phone will take a picture but with the camera you get what you pay for.
With all that in mind this phone gets my vote as I love the operation, sound quality, the fact at this price it is almost a disposable phone. I like it as I can depend on it, has never overheated, locked up, noting but smooth operation for me!

plays pokemon go okay. install the apk from apkmirror if google play store says the device isnt compatible with your device. doesnt fare well in hotspots with lots of pokestops like your busy populated downtown area but outside of it it runs ok. the gps is less than fair with pokemon go so you will be restarting the app quite a bit.

Got this free from T-Mobile...but you get what you pay for...
I would not EVER recommend buying it. It comes pre-loaded with apps (not removeable ) that take up most of the 1.8gb core memory :( It does no good to add an SD card as you cannot transfer apps. The camera is not the best but OK. ..when used with the SD card to free up memory. Keeps randomly shutting off...need to remove an re-insert battery to continue :(

It's actually a pretty decent phone when you manage the cache and disable apps you don't use..
The problem isn't the smartphone device..
The problem is with the operator..
Don't flood the device,with apps.
Don't leave apps running..
Oh, and airplane mode ,when not in use..
Battery will only deplete by 1% between an 24hr time frame..
Get a SD card ,with greater memory.
After these simple steps ,you Wii notice a difference..~BCA

WORST PHONE EVER!! there is hardly any storage I can never update any of my apps and the camera quality is terrible I have to be in perfect lighting for you to even see my face! That is just ridiculous never buy this phone!!

got trom tmobile as upgrade. no storage even though i have no apps installed. make me delete things all the time. also, the camera is terrible. do not buy.
