OMG! This was my first mobilephone, and I was 11, when I got this. It's clearly not up to date, but it was a fantastic phone back then.

It's not bad but definitely not very good.
The front panel is not glass, it's plastic, so over time it wears out and gets fussy, you need to polish it for the screen to look better.
The touchscreen is not really good, quite unresponsive and not very precise. Not the worst but definitely not good.
The biggest flaw is the sound, either by speaker or 3.5mm. I have another nugget, an Xperia E released 1 year earlier (2013) and albeit not as good of a performer, the sound quality on it is quite substantially better than this Alcatel.
So the only reason I wanted to use this phone is a side kick music player but turns out that sound is not very good. It's good enough, or should I say "usable", but not good.
As a side note, it came with a ton of bloatware.
The battery of mine went bad so I had to get a replacement, but overall I'd say it's fine if you need an emergency smartphone with some basic function and that has an FM Radio.

I really liked this device. This is my second favorite on Alcatel 512. She is now preaching her taste test on my mother's side. 👍

I love it, but when my hubby got his hands on it, I became an Alcatel Pop C1 "widow". But it has served him well. I will now have to get a new one and will consider chaining or bolting it to my drawer (ha ha ha).
I never cared for Alcatel much, but this baby changed my mind (that is, the Alcatel NOT my hubby !!)

I bought this phone new for $60(AUD)/about $45(US) nearly two years ago and it has been excellent for the price. Battery life is not fabulous, but is OK. Camera is only 2mp, so you will never get top quality photos, but hey, you get what you pay for. If you want excellent photos, buy a camera. Internet, email,etc works well. It only has 2gb and 512mb ram, so not very fast and does slow down over time. Just back up and factory reset every 3 or4 months and all is OK. As long as you are aware of it's limitations, and don't pretend it's a Samsung S7, for the price it's a brilliant little phone, also very rugged. Excellent value for money. Recommend it to anybody.
