how to explore the internet?

3G is the network speed, so this phone, unlike the 2G, can access the internet at speeds of 3G. Therefore making sense that the main appeal/difference between the origional and the 3G is that it has 3G. Personally i think the name does exactly what it says on the tin.

Anonymous, 09 Jun 2009hahaha this POS phone has 5 year old features, it's for 3rd... moreother phone's implementation of features is often crap - the iPhone only includes something if it can integrate it properly IMO.
Honestly, I challenge you to say 1 better phone at the moment. I mean, ok, it's ommission of flash support is annoying, but you can now do a global search (Which looks through all your apps) - like if you're trying to find the invite to an event but aren't sure of it's location global search can find it - the Pre also has this function, but it's no longer a USP.
The vid recording res > Pre. The screen is physically larger and although WebOS does look like it has the potential to be extraordinary, I believe it doesn't have anything on Safari with a 0.4" bigger screen.
There's a whole lot of phones trying to pack in features - Nokia N97 perhaps the best example - but all Nokia's previous efforts have been buggy. Symbian is way behind the iPhone's OS and Apple's support from 3rd party developers is unmatched.
What's a real dissapointment is the expected RRP of the 3G S in the UK - £450 for 16Gb PAYG is £100 too much IMO.

I agree,, it should be nice based on the price.. its so popular coz its an apple product.. but to be honest.. the features on it is so common.. launching it in the market with incomplete features and re launching it with the feature so possible and shouldve been added from the start is so ironic,,, you'll buy it for a high price knowing from the very first start that the features are compromised by its popularity... anyways.. if you can afford it.. why not... the hell with other's opinion.. but practically speakin.. hmmm.. thumbs down for me =]

Rafael Meurer, 10 Jun 2009Iphone 3GS processor: ARMv7-A - Cortex-A8 Application... moreDon't forget the PowerVR SGX graphics processor which is also part of the SOC (system on a chip), Open GL 2.0 support, the gaming is going to get a whole lot better!

Comparing an N97 to this is like comparing a 486 with onboard graphics to a Pentium 4 with a Geforce 3 graphics card.

                        it's a very expensive toy...
iphone 3G 16GB is 250U$S max in USA, and.... sell about 1000U$S in argentine, LOL
for almost the same price you can get and Omnia HD, round 1200U$S here, I buy and omnia 8GB for 380U$S
the original omnia is better besides mono-touch
no matter you said that iphone is for certain market, it's still a very expensive toy
I has an iphone in my very hands, test it, the UI is awesome, but, I need a smartphone, not a very cool UI, so iphone isnt for me, I admit
let's the boys buy your toy and do not blame on iphone ofr it's poor specs, please stop

for anyone who has ever used an Iphone, you will understand why any other phone will never measure up.. N97? Not even close... Fopr all the haters, you guys just want one so badly that its become sour grapes now... I travelled across Europe and Uk solely with the Iphone, it finds restaurants, parking and even gives you guides for anything... The apps on it are limitless... So go on and brag about the nokia, the blackeberry etc.. But understand how all these manufacturers have lost market share... Why is that? Go figure....

Its just an "OK" phone.....i means if u talk about features. Yes they have improved in many aspects, have improved their strengths and added few new features but still you have to compromise in my things as compared to its price. They are good so the expectations from them also rises. They have done many good things in it but those things are very common these days.

You 1st release a cell phone with not so complete features then re-launch it by adding up new features doesn't make so much difference.

Yes, it may not make so much difference if you are an Apple fan.

                            Its just a personal opinion.

Actually i wanted to be the owner of "the iPhone" but due to lack of balance between "cost & feature" at present i am the owner of 'Samsung Omnia'.

                            Regards

iphone 3GS has been long awaited, yes most of the features eg video and bluetooth ( proper bluetooth ) should have been on the original handset, but at least they're here now. The people that are moaning saying " oh its a toy, its no where near as good as an n97". Explain to me how you know this as neither of the handsets have been released yet. It is all pure jiba jabba. I have met hundreds of people who have said ive heard the iphone isnt as good as this and that, until they have used one had a play with it to see what it does and what the advantages of it are and how user friendly

Even though the new iPhone 3G S has increased functionality and virtually the same dimensions Apple have somehow managed to increase its battery life by about 20 percent. The talk-time in 2G network has been upped to 12 hours (10 on the iPhone 3G) and the audio playback has reached 30 hours (24 on the iPhone 3G). Video playback endurance has been upgraded from 7 to 10 hours, while the stand-by and 3G talk time remain unchanged.
