haha, belive me.. if you compare iphone model with samsung only on spec you will Shock that only 1.3 dual core and 1gb ram will blast away samsung galaxy s4 QUAD CORE 2gb ram hahahaha

The Galaxy S5 definitely has a better battery life than the iPhone 5s. Anyway, we shouldn't forget about other issues on the Galaxy s5 such as lagging, overheating, software crashes and much more.

Stuff like games / normal applications like those found in mobile phones often requires unpredictable instructions, thus real gain from multiple cores diminishes,
It makes sense to increase cache size and levels instead. (A7 have L1 ~ L3 caches) More you can cache and not use RAM, the faster your application respond. Snapdragon / Exynos solve this differently, by providing higher clockspeed, but at the expense of draining more battery.. thus you see giant battery in android phones.
The only time multi-cores are useful, is when you doing encoding or decoding of videos, stuff that is "predictable", so you can use multiple streams to faster the job. Which is normally handled by GPU. In that case, ALL mobile gpu, A7 / S800/S801/Exynos all are using quad core GPU.

Clock speed... RAM management...and RAM usage RAM size and some other things are important to fast single process... But higher number of cores help to fast multitasking... One core does one work when others working on other tasks...sorry for language mistakes....
