The Apple iPhone 5S is a snappy and has a very impressive display in terms of colour and pixel density. Compared to the Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC M8, the iPhone 5S is much faster, and it simply does your work for you I'm seconds. Siri is amazing. It recognises and listens to what I say. The LTE of iPhone 5S is one of a kind and it is fast, I must say. Hence, consider buying the iPhone 5S with a premium finish and it's snappy performance than any android. Moreover, iOS 7 cannot be found on any device but Apple, which makes it superior to android, as to 90% smartphone companies having the Android software. The iPhone 5S may not be advertised as waterproof, but it is quite resistant; I've dropped it in melted chocolate, boiling water and ice cool water for a few seconds accidentally and it worked perfectly. IPhones software and hardware, which is basically the whole smartphone is superior to any other smartphone out there. Therefore, comsider buying the iPhone 5S over the Samsing Galaxy S5 or the HTC M8.

-Can withstand 5 foot drops
-Less than 120g weight
Release an iPhone like that, price it high. I'll still buy it.

After using my iPhone 4 (16gb) for 3 years, I finally gave in and bought the iPhone 5s(64gb), though costing an arm & a leg. Though I could've bought the Samsung S5 & saved 50%, I'd rather stick to my old trustee iP4 than to any other brand.
It's true, learning from personal experience, buying an Apple product is an investment. I've never had any technical problem with my iP4 & even now it still look the part compared to any other brand. If I hadn't upgraded to iOS7 I probably wouldn't have bought the iP5s.
Now I'm loving my new iP5s (damn this thing is fast!!), & also my 11 year old daughter is having fun with my old/her new iP4. :-)

Which is best in... moreBest Camera performance -> 5S - the camera app is designed such that any person without photography knowledge can take awesome pictures. Even if you do not like it, there are tons of iOS optimised camera apps.. and iOS does best in graphic processing and image processing.
Best overall performance -> 5S - iOS is smoothest and most well done applications.
Best battery life performance -> 5S - with just 1550 mAH your battery life rivals other giant phones with twice the capacity.. and you charge twice as fast.
Best standby performance -> 5S - No matter what junk apps you installed, the battery drain is consistent.
However 5S lack screen size compared to N5/ moto X in terms of specs. However only N5 have better screen resolution then 5S, but 5S still shows the applications / video / websites with a much more pleasing way when compared side by side with N5. And N5 do not have 64GB version.
