Assassin's Creed Mirage coming to iPhone and iPad on June 6

Ubisoft has announced that its Assassin's Creed Mirage title will be available for download on the iPhone and iPad starting June 6.

“We are proud to share that Ubisoft Sofia had the pleasure and opportunity to bring Assassin’s Creed® Mirage to iPhone and iPad. Our teams worked hard to adapt the game controls to the touch screen in order to provide an intuitive, comfortable and engaging gaming experience.” said the company's LinkedIn post.

Assassin's Creed Mirage coming to iPhone and iPad on June 6

Mirage is the latest in the long-running Assassin's Creed series of games that have spanned nearly two decades. The game first launched on the consoles and PC in October of last year. Mirage marks the first time a mainline Assassin's Creed game was ported to mobile.

The game was first shown off during Apple's iPhone 15 event in September of last year with a release window of "early next year". Clearly, that didn't quite pan out, even though the other games mentioned during the keynote — including Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 4 Remake, and Death Stranding Director's Cut — have all been trickling out on schedule. Still, we finally have a date but it seems the launch was delayed to coincide with WWDC 2024.

Assassin's Creed Mirage will be compatible with the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max, as well as all iPads running the M1 and newer chips. So far, there isn't any word on compatibility with M-series Macs.

The game is now available to 'pre-order' on the App Store, which is to say you can hit the download button now and the game will automatically download on June 6 as it becomes available. The game is free to download with the option to unlock fully using in-app purchases. Note that the App Store currently shows the date as June 10 for availability and it's not clear if it's a mistake on Apple's part or Ubisoft.
