This phone is amazing.
First it has the best display and the best pixel density
The best sound for sure
Best UI
Very good build quality and the best looking phone
Battery is 2300 mah li.po which has power like a 2700mah in li.ion battery.
The camera is amazing 4 Mb ultrapixel.it takes light more 300% than other cameras and better pixel in each photo.
Aslo one of the best CPU and GPU.

So the more MP the bigger the picture. However this phone 4mp would look 10x better than other phones with 8 mp or even 12 mp simply because the picture you are taking will be saturated with pixels

If you buy Xperia Z after 2 or 3 you can see scratch marks like old iPhones. Sony Ericsson just vanished 2 or 3 years ago and came back with new name and designs. However so far they unable to innovate really cool features like HTC. Only brand name and design are their competitive advantage. Just look what will happen when HTC One released.

HTC is a such a role model for all phone manufactures, because every year they not just upgrading hardware but they also innovate new features, I really appreciate that.

Samsung n htc r not durable n reliable as Sony Apple n BlackBerry. if u want to enjoy new hot performers for some months than buy htc one or galaxy s4 bt if u want to use a good smartphone for a long time with stability than Sony Z is the best. iPhone 5 is also very good.
