HTC unsurprisingly posted an operating loss in Q3 2015

Stefan, 06 October, 2015

HTC posted an operating loss of $138 million in Q3 2015. The troubled Taiwanese manufacturer recorded a small profit during the same period last year.

The company’s quarterly revenue came in at NT$21.4 billion (about $659 million). A year ago, HTC made NT$41.9 billion in revenue.

HTC has seen its sales and profits drop significantly over the past few months due to increased competition in all segments of the smartphone market. Recently, the former industry heavyweight announced major job cuts and dropped out of the TWSE 50 stock index in Taiwan.
