And most important thing, not a single ounce of LAG afters months and months of use, htc sense rocks. Samsung LAG wiz UI is behind many paces. a couple years ago i read somewhere on net that after iphone , htc sense gives best UI experience and it is true. i am android geek and used to fiddle with my s3 and note 3 to get root and cyanogen mods, aosp etc. but on m8 no other android has pleased me like the stock HTC one (just like no other will please apple fans on iphone ) and that's the beauty of it.

hell yeah, the king will bounce back
but they should find a way to make M10 as bezeless as possible, ideally like LG G3
even the new A9 aero looks tall
i own m8, and there is literally not a single thing wrong ,except for the 4mp cam (that i can live with) and side and top bottom bezels
they should make it like A9 but remove bottom 5-7mm by either moving htc logo to top without adding extra top bezel (this would be ideal, like sAMSUNG PUTTING touch navi buttons on sides of finger print home hybrid ) OR less ideally move the finger print sensor part to the back.
SIMPLY put bezelwise make it G3 like, Front like S6, back like mate S

hey guys ... htc is going down...poor marketing and phone quality... the m7 was one of the best in materials and audio..but nothing else camera was terrible,,even being expensive..never used an htc but for me was one of the best based on other people review but that was my big mistake..even telling people to get one of them over other brands...after realize that htc only offers good materials and audio but nothing else then i just changed my mind....for me the m8 was well constructed even way expensive in my country more than lg g3 ,s5 wich are better......camera is 4 mpx come on no matter how big pixel is we need more mpx too for sharper images and get more detail. atleast an 8 mpx sensor could had made a difference... no company is better than other one because all of them have pros and cons but htc is mistaken with the m9 line wich has overheating processor or helio x10 wich garbage coupled with poor gpu

I keep saying all the time that htc as a company are not serious, owing to the fact that they reluctantly refused to release android 5.1 for the m8. As compared to other phones of another brand, like the Samsung s5 rocking the newest version of Android.

Htc don't listen or pay keen attention to what their customers/users, hence they wil

You must think twice if you think the demise of HTC is written in the wall. HTC used to be a fashion-trend amongst the smartphones, to be unstable doesn't mean you must be written off. The king will bounce back. HTC M10 must be built upon the success of HTC M8 that I'm currently using. Nonetheless, HTC for life no matter what

One thing that pisses me off is i can not buy HTC phones everywhere. M7 i could buy everywhere. m9 and m9+ i can only get them from the net, i like to check out the phone i buy first. Also pushing phones out for different markets, bullshit .Do you see samsung(i have seen and touched the newest from samsung but not m9 or m9+) or apple do that? Apple is like coca cola, you can buy it everywhere. E8 is my second and last from HTC. Also listen the customers would be a great idea. The HTC ship is taking in water, they need a better captain.

Just to add to my previous comment.

HTC in recent years were always lagging behind. Their phones were never the worst, but never the best and as market dictates - "it is not enough to be second best". That is not only HTC problem, Sony makes huge loses, LG barely makes profit.

I must say last year was still favorable for HTC.. Samsung didn't impress... but yet even S5 being so much criticised it was better than M8, Samsung sold more units that Sony, HTC and LG put together of the phone which was the worst performer for some year. HTC must understand that it is not enough to be somewhere near the top - you either the best or you are gone.

Really good story from Samsung again, just a second they felt that appeal for plastic phones are gone, the response was immediate - early bird Note 4 and Alpha, followed by A-series and culminating in S6 and S6 edge. They not only turn their fate around by releasing one very good phone, they actually released two phones which are both the BEST.... and here comes HTC with M9 which in exterior hasn't changed, equipped with poor screen and camera, thick as brick (in 2015 standards) with processor which overheats... what do you expect guys.

Finally, flagship might not make all the money, but it is the statement, the face of the company, the marketing horse... with such device as M9 you surely will be ashamed. what it has against Samsung, Sony, LG.. and finally even iphone.

AnonD-322352, 06 Oct 2015HTC | Quietly BankruptI second that. They aren't staining their name in the market and by previous reports 'oh they've been tanking'. And 3 quarters of the water tank they had to filter but they struggle to so no surprise there. I bid them good luck on their next endeavors and I hope their history plagued with scandals and mishaps wouldn't repeat

im pissed off the feckers didnt bring 5.1 to M7. 5.0.2 is soo buggy.
I really hope they go under.
years back I was pissed with the performance of the TYTN II I slammed it up against the wall from frustration. I think that will continue with this M7. Ill send it in a box full off poo back to HTC. because that what their phones are. horrible phones. nice looking phone my M7. but I couldnt care if it was made of cardboard. I just want performance. and it lacks big time.

AnonD-127662, 06 Oct 2015I can't really say much about the Desire Z, but you have to... moreI was just saying that I have experienced HTC's phones, so I can at least say something. And yes, M8's UI is lag-free and it's basically as fast as a Nexus phone - really, really fast. My primary use for a phone isn't the camera, but everyone - I mean, EVERYONE in here kept saying the camera was better (or was it even "the best"?) than the reviews said... I was a fool to believe that, so that's really my own fault. It's not the worst, though - but not a decent offering for a phone that cost me 700 euros.

Anonymous, 06 Oct 2015Believe it or not, some of us have owned several HTC's and ... moreI can't really say much about the Desire Z, but you have to bear in mind that the phone was released 5 years ago, but for that time it held it's ground against the iPhone, as a decent Android. My late best friend used to own one, I had the iPhone at the time, but I was impressed. With regards, to the M8, whilst I agree the camera isn't the greatest, it certainly isn't the worst either. If you are looking for a camera as the killer feature, there are better cameras on other phones. For me personally, it's mainly about a smooth UI and solid performance, which is what I get from my M8. I am very particular about what phone I buy, as I research thoroughly, try each handset out, before making the purchase. So for many reviews to class the M8 as one of the top phones of last year, I am happy with my choice. I appreciate not all users will find the M8 as their choice of phone, if you find the Nexus 6 (a good phone as well) as your main choice, then fair enough. My point was mainly for people who clearly have never used a HTC phone, but feel the need to bash it.

I agree wi... moreBelieve it or not, some of us have owned several HTC's and are still unimpressed. Desire Z had a poor battery life without custom roms and M8 still has a very bad camera compared to the rival devices - it simply lacks the sharp details, and that's why it disappointed me in a major way - expected to get more for the price. Even GSM Arena's own review mentioned the camera being a worse than rival units.

But still, as a phone (not a camera) it was quite good - just not for my taste with the huge bezels and small screen. I would never switch back to M8 from Nexus 6, but someone else could possibly do it with no regrets.

Love my HTC One S but its a pity the new A9 will be large around 144.6 x 69.7 x 7mm

Some of the comments here are absolute nonsense. I agree with a poster a few comments down, if you have never used a HTC phone then do not comment with comments describing the phone in a negative way. I have had the HTC M7, and now I am still using the HTC M8. The M8 was easily one of the best smartphones in 2014. If you do not believe me, Google reviews on the phone and you will see I am not making this up. To say this phone is, "mediocre", is utter nonsense. I agree the M7 did have battery life issues, but it was still a great phone none the less. The M9 is a good upgrade for M7 users, or anyone hasn't had a HTC phone, you may experience issues with overheating, but that is common on many devices with the Snapdragon 810 processor.

The problem with HTC is not their phones. The problem is the poor marketing of their products. The phones, IMO, are easily one of the most solid Android experiences you can get, but what good is selling a product when the awareness is poor? Samsung have a huge following, so they don't need to market heavily. I have used the Galaxy S3, the S5, the Note 3 and 4, and I wasn't particularly impressed by the experience, when comparing it to the M7 and M8. But Samsung phones are still decent, so they will always sell well.

HTC need to up their marketing and make people aware on how great their phones are, otherwise these losses will be a recurring thing.
