There is a big problem if HTC is having big financial issues but it is not the firist time. They need to take big decisions in a small amount of time. The first step is to call and reinstall Peter Chou as CEO.Peter Chou is HTC.Without HTC in the smartphone Business all the quietly brilliance will be gone.Hope the best for HTC,and I hope that the next flagship will be as good as the m7/m8 in their time.STAY QUIETLY BRILLIANT HTC for this is how you succeeded in the smartphone business.

Ok, HTC will hit the bottom. I've just hope that some company like Miezu or Xiaomi will save the brand like Lenovo (and previously Google) did with Motorola. Because the brand still be reminded as quality for a lots of people.

Im typing from the pos m7. Its a horrible phone.
Battery life is horrible. Drains at 1% of 1 minute of use
Charging is too slow for such a small battery
Body heats up like crazy. Gets extremely hot. When i have the 2 layer case on (silicone/plastic) it gets warm but without it the metal body is unbearable to hold. And its only after 5-7 minutes of use. Usually anything using video forces the heating issue.
The camera is crap. Really crap. It has a terrible purple tint to everything. 4mp camera doesnt give any better performance in low light than even a 13mp camera. Thats bs. White balance sucks. It makes everything either neon yellow (not amber yellow like tungsten does) or purple. Low light /ample light same crap. You specifically notice it in anything black. Clothes, shadows, whatever.
Their phones are overpriced underspeced and they underperform. I had to disable animations and root my phone to disable tons of background services from running to get it to decent performance levels for day to day.

I hope they go bankrupt. You get what you give htc
If many dont rmemeber of htc and phones back in the windows mobile days. Htc didnt include a gpu driver which crippled many phones who could hardly do 5fps on video. I had the tytn II which was one. There was a movement to do a class act lawsuit against them although i think it was a ploy to make money. Atay away from htc phones. Nothing about their gear is special. The same same over and over. Today you have so many excellent options for little money

It is not surprising after M9 came as such failure. You cannot release same phone 3 year in a row and expect it to be successful. While M7 looked advanced at the time of launch (maybe unlucky try with that weird 4mp camera, which proven bad in daylight and not as good as expected in dark). M8 was already mediocre device, but with Samsung making favor with their plastic (but otherwise much better) S5 HTC just barely held.. I don't understand their decision to "not improve" M9. Surely that was huge mistake, because M9 is at the total bottom, by no ways it can compare with SGS6, nor even with Sony, not to mention pressure from iphone. Sad to see HTC going.. soon to join BB (which is by the way picking up again).

After M7 they lost their way, at least on the camera side. It seems to be a sinking ship now. They had a few nice phones back in the day, though.

They shouldn't have let the designers Scott Croyle and Jonah Becker go. Something is wrong inside HTC and the financial results only prove that.

where i live, midrange htc costs more than midrange samsung .. plus the A series really steared people completly from htc here. last 2-3 years people here bought some midrange htc phones to avoid galaxy grand and ace 2/3 ... lately no one buys htcs anymore there's something really wrong with that brand

Companies Like Redmi,Oppo etc offering very good phones at very nominal .
now a days quality of htc also not good...

They have lost their compass way back. Ou and they pay big money to people wo lead them to the bottom.

I just don't get it. Listen to people, set 5 or 6 distinctive models in 3 price groups and update the software. That is it. The design, features, will do the rest.

not surprise at all, their design uninspiring Thick with low capacity of battery and bezel is monstrous, they try convince 4mp camera it's enough until m9, price ridiculously high

even OPPO still can penetrate market with high price, they think competitor is only Apple but their market niche already take by Meizu, Xiaomi, Oneplus, and other local brand who give cheap price

Gonzo The Great, 06 Oct 2015htc was the best phone company for long period of time. fro... moreHTC is a great company but once they killed desire line for a long period of time they died. They brought back desire family as a low-mid range device. Very poor marketing, look at 'iphone' and 'galaxy' and 'xperia'. these companies never changed their family since the rise. MOTO, NOKIA, HTC and LG failed in marketing.

                              Hope To Close

htc was the best phone company for long period of time. from 2011 i was your fan and not even samsung or apple were on my mind. after some issues with your latest phones like htc desire 510 and later with m series i just had to let you go. after long almost 5 years i brought samsung j7 and placed your products aside.
you reminde me on apple....... same things no good....

Htc has not focused on mid range device between rs. 10000 and 15000 in india.
                                    2. Aslo not increase to battery backup.
                                    3. Htc has not study on its competitor.
                                    And what expect of fans.
And that hence htc falling down.
