This one is a good family phone.
720p IPS display+5000mAh battery will last long on sd480+👍👍
2MP macro could have been replaced with 8MP ultrawide though.

Presenting this device as the successor to the G52 is a huge disappointment.
Motorola probably thought: Hey, the display and bezels are way too good for an entry-level device. Let's fix that...

you had the G50, which back in the day (3 years almost) was a fine phone. Then came the G51, which was preety clunky phone nevertheless good with better screen. Then came the G62 was out 3, the best, added stereo speakers....
The G53, it´s just a recycled version out of the 3, and with HD+ screen, which on a 250€ 2023 doesn´t cut it anymore.
Get the G72 instead, far better even if it´s only 4G+

I find the Nokia G50 a better deal (especially at the US price tag of $150) since it's cheaper than this phone while having similar specs, ultrawide camera and most importantly, a stainless steel frame

Is this a good phone for general use? Calls, whatsapp, internet browsing, a bit of youtube here and there and maybe some low resource games like sudoku? I don't need more than this.

if you look into it . most flagship phones have dumped 1440p display for this very reason . gaming on a 1440p panel is a frame rate disaster
