many people talking for camera while many talking for screen resolution while some ask is it worth upgrading from previous note??
first of all it has an RGB architecture rather than usual pentile matrix of note n S3 thus screen will be more sharp n clear compare to these two devices... u say pixel density is less... ofcourse its less than note but note has 2 subpixels per pixel while it has 3 subpixels over an pixel means it has 267*3=801 subpixels while note has 285*2=570 subpixels... so it has 231 more subpixels than note thus has better sharpness as well as contrast...
now the camera... 12 mp cam is sure better than 8mp camera if the lens is better but if we use same lens of a 12 mp cam for an 8 mp, it will increase the quality of image n videos... its all gimmicks putting a higher mp.cameras coz what a 12 mp can do, 8mp can also do the same in a phone...
the best thing i found in the note 2 is its improved stylus which does multiple things n very easy n convinient... the air view out of that is best featute what i figured oit in note 2 by which u can simplicize ur videos, emails, calenders, almost everything... n is the biggest reason which is pushing me forward to upgrade my galaxy note coz the original note cannot do all these stuffs which the note 2 is capable of doing... whereas it has 2 gb of ram, a 1.6gig of quad core processor under jelly bean is adding flavour to it in browsing as i do almost all.my work from my phablet... i guess i had cleared ur most of doubts now its upon u to choose or neglect it but one thing z for sure that m.definitely gonna buy it... apart from thz i have a small doubt which u guyz might be knowing n that is- is the front cam capable of doing 720p video recording @30fps same as galaxy S3 or not???

A chain is only as strong as its weakest... morelet me solve ur case.... u say its pretty hard in landscape mode to type but samsung has overcome thz problem in thz phone with the adjustable keyboard in which u can adjust according to ur convinience n added a flexible keyboard which can be stretched to any size to fit in that screen in landscape mode... go n view complete hands on video of galaxy note 2... its a real outstanding device...

Hello one and all. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. The screen resolution is lower than the previous model. The images will not be as sharp.
Yes I know they've abandoned the PenTile screen and substituted the more colourful tricolour submatrix, but the screen's resolution is still lower.
It was a mistake making the screen bigger. The first Note had already pushed it to the limit. It will be difficult to thumb-type in landscape mode with Note II.
Samsung have to think logically and not grandiose. For many, lower screen resolution on what is supposed to be an improved phone, shatters the deal.

This is by far, the most intense hardware spec as far as mobile device is concern. But again Sammy, please make sure that this piece of genius does not halt in term of the OS ability. Your previous commitment to upgrade your list of galaxy lines have shown some perspective that you seem not able to fulfill the anxiety (OS upgrade). Nevertheless, SN2 will definitely poses further fear to some OEM..... I will certainly grab one of this..

Nice Features yo..2Gb ram is massive.Apple 5 won't have much ram and much processor.Apples are getting lamer and lamer :O..But you Galaxy s3 make me sick.i expected more from S3...but now i'm happy with this.prefer 12Mp cam also..:( This is the phone that earth need the most :D keep it up your work but i suggest that 2Gb ram 1.6Ghz quad core and **12Mp** Cam suite this one

Other feather are superb...bt still 8mp camera as sgs3...i am so depressive...common samsung ,to compete with other smart phone launch 12 mp camera? Why late..why late..why late..?

I dont mind LG phones but there firmware upgrades are not good, just ask the optimus 2x owners. I will be moving from the sgs2 to the note2.

Another brilliant device from Samsung, Wow You Rock....
Whatever Apple do but they won't win this battle. Samsung is best and i will be..
BTW Apple want their technology to be sold in millions but the fact is they are enjoying the Android technology since it is open source. where did they get the idea of Notification Center??? its simple from Android...

For those who think that 267ppi is not enough i will like to clarify that sgs2 had 217 ppi density with 3 sub pixel per pixel the note 1 originally had a pentile matrix display wiyh 2 sub pixel per pixel the note 2 however has a new S RGB matrix with 3 sub pixel per pixel making it even more clear than the sgs3 & sgs2 ...

The lower screen resolution is a deal breaker for me!
Am still very satisfied with current Galaxy Note and will be looking forward for their next year model for sure.
Moreover; the Galaxy Note II is defiantly great.
