The reason could be as you said, or it could be some other reasons... say... if not for battery life or any efficiency reasons, Samsung might think more commercial by planning to drag its (potential) Users to buy any song they like/want from its... say.. it-could-be-SAMSUNG-MUSIC-STORE.. or something like that? :-))

Doesn`t have RADIO/ 4G ? What ? is the lastest phone,and doesnt`t have 4G ? Samsung galaxy note 2 has 4g

iPhones don't have FM radio since the first model came before samsung had its galaxy S series. Samsung galaxy S, S II and S III all have FM radio. Samsung then realized that iPhone users never complained about the lack of FM radio on their phones. So samsung decided to follow Apple. That's the story behind this.

S4 is octa-core which means it has battery efficiency that will not drain the battery faster even when streaming.
I listen to radio via TuneIn app streaming on my Samsung Galaxy Tab II 7.0 at home when I go to bed until I fall asleep leaving it streaming until morning but the battery did not drain when I check it.

Fm radio doesn't play your favourite songs continuously. Inbuilt music player is enough, but you have to download your favourite songs.

Samsung should understand where are his feet . Forgetting own special features such as Fm radio is just weakening his feet .Small thing makes big difference and there are many head to head competiters in the market.Why he eliminate Fm radio while even very chiep phone includes Fm radio . Eye scroll is less important than Fm. Who is without hands to use phone? I May go for note iii or HTC.

I can listen to radio streaming ... moreWhy do you want to listen to music and radio... in the phone when you are at home, do you not have bigger and better alterntives at home? Streaming radio and music from the Internet DRAINS THE BATTERY, and that is the reason why I need FM-radio in the phone!
HTC One fans says that only 4MP is "perfect" but S4 fans say no FM-radio is "good", why not accept that only 4MP is very bad and no FM-radio is also very bad!
iPhones do not have FM-radio because Apple want the user to buy all music... from Apple!
