I think samsung has been lazy (?) and has been sleeping on its large profits' bed...

This phone is a major let down.
Everyone expected more and better.
Are they trying to get away from Android?
Is this the phone that will sweep sammy away from google?

I really can't say, but I am sure this will not be as successful as the s3.
Unimaginative format and colours(Black & white!?!), mediocre design and specifications fot a wannabe-flagship.

There is something very rotten in the kingdom of samsung...

It's like apple and samsung have run out of new ideas...
Sad, really...

Loads of money for very mediocre phones...

Why are these new phones so expensive, then?

S4 hype and all this NY launch etc was after over nothing, all when you look at is this cheap looking phone, which looks the same as S3 and plastic runs all over the place! why they are not focusing on the look of this ugly phone? after all you first LOOK at the phone every day, you hold and feel it every day, before start using it.
I am so disappointed with Samsung, being a big fan, it hurt so much to say SAMSUNG you failed and I promise you will not shift this phone as you hoped, because you simply did NOT listen to your critics and people like HTC done so, they went away and come back delivering better phone which now to everyone proven to be the winner so far, and that is HTC ONE,

S4 has nothing amazing to offer to stand out, I honestly still prefer the S2.

SAMSUNG it is time to start your design from outside (as someone mentioned here) and then go to improve the inside.

I am fed up with this boring phone, and that is why I go to HTC ONE now

good bye and good luck S4, believe me, you would need it in the current market

you basically failed sammy!!! Simple but true

today I am a very sad sammy fan! :-(

    learn from HTC ONE

AnonD-124807, 15 Mar 2013galaxy s series doesn't need innovation in design anymore. ... moreSoftware??? lolol!! if that so, just update or root your phone. there will be lots and lots of new features rather than spending 600EUR to buy a new phone.

hardware matters, build quality matters, design matters. thats what we called an innovation.

DukeDevil, 15 Mar 2013Dude, apart from screen cudnt find anything extra, no use o... moreDude, have you used S3? there are so much more features on S3 that didn't appear on anyone reviews. S4 even more better, it's seem Samsung doesn't like to brag all the small features that make their phone great! unlike other brands, pin point out every little bits!

Saw the hands-on video. Not only that it is a complete smartphone, but it looks very good comparing to S2 and S3 because of metal body

Finally people will realize how stupid apple is and see what a real software and a well build phone looks like.
Im sure apple waiting to steal all their technology to try to make their new icrap phone better, which will never happend!

AnonD-47912, 15 Mar 2013I'm generally very pro-Samsung and rate the S3 as the best ... moreI am 35 yrs old and I want to buy my first and last smartphone but i dont have money so im saving 1$ each day until Dec 2015. Probably smartphones that time will be smarter but i will still be buying S4 if it still available or S5, with S6 already released.

I'm generally very pro-Samsung and rate the S3 as the best phone of its time but I genuinely feel Samsung have dropped the ball on this one. The S4 is impressive enough but it simply doesn't set the bar high enough. Apaprt from a few software tricks (many of which will grace the S3) there's simply nothing on offer that's either new, exciting or revolutionary. I understand Samsung's reluctance to change a winning formula but there's simply not enough here to make the mouth water. No attempt at bucking the trend for more and more megapixels in the camera module, no attempt to move to a more premium look or feel, no attempt to raise the bar on the audio front, no attempt to make the handset more robust or impervious to dust or water. It's happened so many times before (cough..Nokia..cough) that a company hits the magic formula then sits on its laurels while those around them destroy them with innovation and ambition. I've no doubt the S4 will sell by the barrow load but it worries me that I'd be just as happy buying an HTC One or an Xperia Z and they were announced earlier. Sorry Samsung, my humble opinion is this latest effort was barely enough, let's hope I'm wrong.

To reach the highest point, samsung needs to improve more in software.

Hahahahaha, 15 Mar 2013When will you crybaby haters realize that plastic is obviou... moreUr comment really do show how much u know about communication marketing...phones aren't meant to be cool? If u ask 100 iphone users of why they like the phone 40% of them would probably say "because it looks nice and classy" so selling a phone is to make them look nice and attract customers and speaking from history...Samsung sold many handsets lastyear because of thier marketing with commercials and adverts that made the SGS3 look "cool"
