styxgeist, 15 Mar 2013Specs are good, not enough to make me want to upgrade from ... moreHTC bring out a flagship nearly every month so expect them to up processor speed even more..Its just like the megapixel race all over again just power...I want proper shutter button,xenon flash ,lens cover and more quality its no good if HTC or anyone else bring out quadcore @2GHz next with 4GB RAM its overkill..
If they put all the SGS2 or SGS3 internals in Nokia E90 device thats me sorted.Period, as the say over the pond.

Xperia Z loses down significantly......
Also, even a S3 has better stills then the Z.... (The quality is better for S3, but Z benefits with higher resolution)

I think the majority of us agree that Apple has been left in the dust by the top tier Android phones. The only people in denial about this are Apple fan kids(Apple fan kids = North Korea delusions of grandeur).The question is whether the S4 is really that much better than the Quad cored of last year. I don't think there is enough offered in the S4 that should make users of last years top tier phones need to upgrade.

so screenshot suggest a massive miss in galaxy siv that's capacitive menu and back keys, is this really true or am i missing something? you can also see in the pics

I bought a sony neo L and what i hate most of sony mobile phones is the display ! Very poor display , i have to keep the brightness level full but even after that the display looks poor comparing to samsung phones !

[deleted post]The octa core processor is actually two quad core ones..... The smaller processor is manufactured for extreme battery saving..... Hence, a litttle compromised on power..... This power comes from the main quad core processor.... Also, if that was true, then a SE Play (1 Ghz single core) should be able to run the OS smoothly... By personal experience, the UI is at whole laggy and slow.... Also, Project Butter does smoothens things, but requires the phone to have a sufficiently fast gpu to do parallel processing with the cpu........

This is the worst phone i have ever seen. Samsung gs4 is the copycat of HTC Butterfly. Nothing new in the s4 except the processor. It is the same configuration of HTC,SONY... Please dont buy this worst mobile.............. You Shame Copycat(Samsung))..........

Specs are good, not enough to make me want to upgrade from my existing quad core phone, and 13mp is sweet, but really, am I going to be blowing images up that much?
Also the phone is butt ugly, just like the S3. Samsung owners deserve better than this. Take a page out of HTC style please.
Oh I love how they said that SuperAMOLED is superior to LCD, yet the previous generation S3 used SuperAMOLED and the HTC One X used LCD. Guess what happens when you put them side by side. The HOX blows the S3 screen quality out of the water. Sounds like this screen on the S4 is going to suck again!

I really think this octa core is just a marketing gimmick. Do u really need 4 cores at what ever clock speed to handle low tasking functions, like viewing multi-media, phone calls etc. That is something a single core clocked at 800mhz-1ghz can easily handle. To be honest, Samsung uses a whole lot of marketing gimmicks they call "innovations" to really rip ppl off, and folks just tend to blindly follow once they see large numbers. Can anyone of u fanboys really educate us on d TRUE ESSENCE of d 8 cores? or u guys just follow large numbers even if it doesn't matter much?
The 4 A15 CPU, with good architecture, should be able to handle any task whether heavy or light. IMHO, what should make a good 4 core CPU great should be ability to automatically down clock or switch to single core for "less tasking/demanding functions". That is what should be focused on, not having 2 different clocked CPU for different functions. That is not at all smart. Forget about the battery savings talk, that is all part of the gimmick.
