Why is the poor sales guy taking a fall for the whole thing? Agreed the marketing costs cut into the profits but who is really to be blamed?
IMO the first guy to get kicked should be the one who suggested the 'One device for EACH WEEK of the year' and 'One device VARIANT for EACH DAY of the year' strategy..

How is the sales/marketing guy supposed to sell the pathetic monstrous device portfolio?

Yes samsung devices are over priced.. It is trying to be apple.. Which it won't succeed in..

However xiaomi.. It doesn't really do much innovation like samsung/apple/htc etc. it just takes existing tech and throws a device togeyher, no real physical stores, no marketing.. Their aftersales services are pathetic.. So yeah prices are bound to be low..

In the past Samsung has overcharged their customers with over priced so called flagship devices such as Galaxy S5 and Note4 through their massive marketing campaigns.

Until Xiaomi has proved it wrong by introducing similar technical specs and quality build devices but 50% cheaper.

I anticipate Samsung will withdraw from mobile business within 2 to 3 years!
