Oh. Is it a good idea? They used to laugh when others created mobiles with protruding cameras and now they must do it themselves. Will samsung be a laughing stock, too?

This is fake. Samsung never made Smartphones with such huge top and bottom bezels.

Every galaxy is worse than the last one. When will it end? Until this damn company is driven to the ground?
S4 was the best galaxy for ages (first octa core phone, 2 years before everybody else copied that), removable sd/batt, balanced resolution (big enough to make thing as sharp as possible, but not too big). Best screen to body ratio (small bezels)

I hate it when some Android OEMs try to copy in my view some of Apples shortcoming...like no SD card slot, huge top and bottom bezels, non removable battery or the 4.3 aspect ration of the iPads.
But this design does not originate from Apple...it is from HTC and Apple twicked their design from that of the One M7 and M8. So all those who are saying Sammy is copying this design from the 6 and 6+ have it wrong, but the no SD card or removable battery i can somewhat agree...but those are all bad ommisions which have been always a given on the Galaxy s line of devices. I hope they have a version with almost the same specs that will incorporate Removable batteries and SD card expansion. If not then...shame on them for abandoning those two specs. Hey why not get rid of the home button while u are at it...at least that will help make for a less tall and more compact device.

If the protusion is what it takes to have the best camera of any cell phone then so be it. Also important is 5.5" display, smallest possible overall size, user replaceable battery, no UI lag and approchable price. The rest is less important.

Why have they made it taller? Look at those useless top/bottom bezels, the bottom looks like a throwback to the S3. I think trying to make it so thin has meant they have had to increase the length to fit a larger battery in. I have a hard time balancing my S5 while being able to press the home button and top far corner of the screen. At least the screen is slightly smaller and the width narrower, but moving the home button further away and having the weight spread out more will make it harder to balance holding one handed.

So it probably wont have removable battery. But Samsung has lost more sales due to design than they've ever gained all previous releases combined, thanks to the fact that the battery is removable.
Loss of microSD cardslot is a shame, however, most people don't buy those anyhow. But sure, samsung can take some extra money of it's customers, if they persuade them to get an option with larger storage.
